Characters out in the rain?

Looking at long term forecast (and I know that it changes very frequently!). So far, Sunday looks like rain. Planning on hitting up Magic Kingdom anyways, but curious if it will effect the amount of characters out for pictures and autographs? I've never been in the rain before. Thanks!

Yes, the characters do not stand out in the rain. Sometimes they will move the location of the meet and greet to a covered area, but often it just cancels those characters while the weather is bad.

many characters have alternate meeting locations so if it's raining ask a CM!!

Sometimes the locations are logical other times you'd never find it if you didn't know or ask. We found Phineas and Ferb in a closed theater near their regular meeting place one time when it was raining. Pocahontas ended up under one of the big covered meeting areas once in the rain. Jasmine / Aladdin have an indoor spot in Morocco for meet/ greets etc.

Unless the weather is so bad that entire parts of the park are shut down (rarely), Characters are not cancelled simply due to rain. The amount of time the Character is available may change, due to how long it takes to get a Character to and from a new spot, but every Character has an alternate rain location. However, as the previous poster said, you often have to ask a CM to find out where that rain location is.

Do be sure to ask where the characters are. Once they move for bad weather, their lines are often very short, so it's a great day to find them!

We couldn't find Tiana and Naveen in the cold snap of 2010. It took a few minutes of stopping into a shop to ask them to make a call, but found out they were in a building over in Adventureland. There wasn't a soul in line.

Unfortunately, that is not true. The previous rain location at Epcot cannot be used due to the construction at C Spot. When it rains, most of the outdoor characters around World Showcase go down.

Luckily, Aladdin and Jasmine have since permanently moved inside (because of construction in Morocco), so those 2 will not be affected.

During our last visit to Epcot, it was just starting to rain as the line was forming to greet Marie the Cat in France. Marie's handler led us (with Marie holding my and my dd's hand) into the gift shop as the alternate meet and greet spot. Please excuse our sweatiness - it was mid-August!

I should elaborate further... during a sprinkle, when characters can walk to and from a shop, they will (I do not believe Snow has anywhere to go though). However, in a down pour, they have a hard time even getting to the shops.

we found Snow once when it was raining - I don't know what the store is called - if you're looking at the George and the Dragon statue it's the first store on your right as you enter the square area. She was outside under a porch sort of area.
