Characters on rides?

A few years ago at the Halloween Party my boys rode the tea cups with the Mad Hatter. I didn't ride, nor did I get pictures. I was so enthralled with watching the interaction I just kinda stood there with the camera. My boys always get mad at me, I miss all the special stuff. The year my son made his very first touchdown playing defense..an interception..I was jumping and screaming with, of course, the camera in my hand. But yds was only 8 and was pretty sure that it would be on ESPN...

When did the other events happen? During regular hours or special hours.

My ride on Star Tours with Darth Vader was during regular hours at DHS, in the morning.

At MVMCP last year, my DD was completely enamoured with Aladdin who remembered her from when she had seen him earlier that week during the day when she also went nuts over him. He called me over and invited her to come back at a certain time to ride the Magic Carpets with him and Jasmine. She was in absolute heaven! She still talks about it all the time.

Wow, this seriously made me tear up right in front of the laptop. THIS is what makes Disney so special! What a wonderful memory for her (and yes, as an adult, I wish it would happen to me. ;p)

Rode on Teacups with DD with Alice one cup away. She walked up to a little girl beside us not far from the ride and asked her if she wanted to ride together.

My wife had gone to the bathroom and when I saw her I was frantically waving for her to get the camera out. Luckily she got a shot before the ride stopped.

This was during normal hours - maybe 10 in the morning?

Anyone notice any trends in when they've seen the character ride?

When we've seen it happen it was only during the special extra hour for toddlers at MK and it was Alice and the Mad Hatter riding Tea Cups with the kids.

When did the other events happen? During regular hours or special hours.

When my kids were behind Max & Goofy it was regular hours. Have no idea what time of day though.

Must say...some of these experiences are so so special. Reading these experiences, not just the ride, but the way the characters interact with people.... THAT is was makes disney so extraordinary.

These are all great! Keep em' coming guys! We'd love to hear some of that magic that you and your family experience when something like this happens!!
I feel like most of us are jealous of the experience though

It's not Disney-related, but I did ride the E.T. attraction at Universal with Henry Thomas (Elliot) during the Grand Opening back in 1990.
