We will be going to Donald Breakfastosaurus and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall both breakfast meals.
Would love to hear how these meals were?

We did breakfast at Donald's. It was average. Average food, average character interaction, average service.

We did lunch at Akershus - stellar service, great food, good character interaction.

We thought the food at Donald's was really good. There was a hot buffet of eggs, pancakes, potatoes, cheesy potatoes, quiche, breakfast pizza, sausage, bacon, biscuits. The cold buffet has fruit, cereal, muffins, danish, etc. The characters (Donald, Mickey, Pluto & Goofy) came around the tables about 1/2 hour after we were eating. They don't hang around too much and only pose for a quick picture. That was enough character interaction for us, but others have said they like more time with the characters.

Never went to the Akershus to eat since I have boys.

We Love Donald's, have alway had a great time there. Have eaten at Norway, but not with the princesses.

We enjoyed Donald's in February when DD and I did this meal, but it is not on the top of my list. The food was good - love breakfast pizza anywhere!

We did not like PSB - too crowded, too hectic, too many crying kids the day we were there, and a cranky server. My DD is nine and not really into Princesses-we went with friends that were visiting. - She prefers 1900 Park Fare and Cape May over all others. I did enjoy the food - but it was not as fun, or as much character interaction as others we have done.

(We have done almost all of the character meals since Jan 22, 2006 (PSB), we still have Garden Grill to attend which we are doing this Saturday and we have not done Akerhaus for lunch or dinner)

Compared to the other buffets, Donald's is ok. It is one of the few places to find Donald.

The building is themed as a cafeteria you might find at a research site. Not poorly themed, mind you, but sort of sparse looking, which is intentional.

Have not been to the Akerhaus breakfast.

We like Donald's and have ADR's for upcoming trip. Have not yet tried Akershus.

We love the Princess Story Book breakfast at Akershus. We have done it two years in a row. It is me, DH, DD21 & DD18. We really enjoyed the food. None of us are major princess fans but really enjoy the interaction that we have with the princesses. We also really enjoyed the wait staff both years. My girls decided they wanted a picture with them because they were so pleasant. I highly recommend this to others.

Akerhus breakfast was extremely good. Service was great. Here is pic of how food is served family style.

Donalds was ordinary buffet style, not great but good.

We really liked Donald's the food was fresh & hot and the servers were funny, they were almost better then the characters. They were pulling pranks on the guests and had us in stitches.

I hated Donald's Breakfast. I am willing to concede that everyone has a bad day, so I wouldn't rule it out forever. But it will never be at the top of the list. We had a late reservation. I think they forgot us. We waited for half an hour and when they took us in, the place was empty -- about 5 families including us. All of the tables needed to be bussed. It was a mess. I have never seen such a mess anywhere on Disney property. The food looked picked over -- clearly it was just whatever was left. The server seated us took our drink order and disappeared. We had to track someone down to get drinks. We finished breakfast and still no characters -- we had to wait with our dirty dishes for the characters to come out. You would think with so few people, you'd get good interaction. Nope. They came out in a line. I forget the order but it went like this, Donald went to table A, all the other characters waited for Donald to finsh, he went to table B and then Mickey went to table A, etc. We were the last table. Uggh even now I am frustrated.

We had the princess dinner at Norway. It was nice. DD6 loved it. It was very exciting for her to see so many princesses in such a short amount of time. We have this meal scheduled again in Dec.

We are going to Donald's this year for the first time. DD loves Donald and friends, so I think she will like this. We did PSBL last year and we were not thrilled with the food and they weren't terribly accomodating with my food allergies although it was noted on the ressie, I called and spoke to the chef 72 hrs prior and I mentioned it to the server. The princess interaction was good, though. We got a gorgeous pic with Belle in the yellow gown while we were waiting to be seated. The only one that was a little off was Aurora, but I think it was because it was really loud in the restaurant and she didn't speak English very well. Snow White was GREAT, though. We had also seen the same Snow White at CRT and she remembered DD from there, name and all.
