Characters in Hotels...official confirmation?

Apologises if this question has already been answered but I wonder if Disneyland Paris had officially confirmed the position on the characters in the hotels as yet? Last time I checked it had been a lot of online speculation.

Also if it has been confirmed, is there any word on the Golden Forest Room breakfast set up as yet? Will characters still appear?

I have booked for next summer to go to Sequoia Lodge in Golden Forest so I'm keen to know what I've paid for.

I have also emailed the travel agent for clarity as some people online are saying they have received phone calls but when I booked, I was informed the characters would still be there?! Maybe it was a sales pitch but I'm keen to know.

Any clarity anyone can give would be great.

Hi. Yes it has been confirmed that as of November no more characters in the hotels apart from DLH Castle Club. SL GF will be getting an American breakfast, I guess to make up for losing the characters.

There will be a something going on in the parks during EMH with the characters which will replace the hotel meet and greets.

I know some people over on the TA forum have been able to downgrade there booking to a normal room at SL - and receive a refund- if they had booked without being told there were no characters present after november, so if this is a big deal for you then I would contact your TA to request this

Thanks this is good to know, I suspected that it was confirmed as some people online have said their travel agents have contacted them to make an offer because of the change.

For me, it's not a deal breaker and I wouldn't really be looking to downgrade the rooms.

Do you know if AP holders who are not staying in a Disney hotel will still be able to make the most of this new EMH programme from November?

Nothing has been announced yet but I have read in quite a few places that in july when the prices go up for AP's, that from that date onwards only Dream AP's will have EMH. Existing fantasy AP's will still have access until there expirary date

Again this is only speculation but i have seen quite a few french CM's say the same thing now over on the french forums so I guess there is a high chance. And of course it used to be that only Dream AP's had emh, fantasty AP's got them as a special 20th anniversary offer only.

Just wanted to say thanks for your advice on characters at hotels. I contacted my TA and they confirmed the disapperance of characters from Golden Forest Rooms. TA did offer a downgrade in rooms but I decided to stay put to enjoy seperate check in, lounge with free drinks/snacks and hopefully still a seperate breakfast dining area (avoid the summer holiday breakfast scrum) and slightly nicer room.

I did however manage to get a free character breakfast at cafe mickey added! So success, my niece and nephew will get to enjoy characters at breakfast on one morning at least

A good result in the end. It is a pity bit at least they'll be rerouted into the park for EMH.
