I know Chip and Dale are here, any other characters? Do the characters to go the tables or are they just in one location? Thanks for any input!

It has been a while since the last time we went to Storyteller's Breakfast. I remember Turk was there. We were able to "talk" to him. I thought it was kinda of neat cuz you don't run into Turk much. Ask DH and he said that a lot of the secondary characters were there.
They do roam the whole dining area and spend time with the diners. If you like to get autographs, I would definitely bring your autograph book.

We ate there last weekend and saw: Terk, Koda, Kenai, Chip, and Dale.

Koda and Kenai don't sign autographs (no thumbs as they were willing to point out)

Turk..the two bears form Brother Bear (They cant sign the autograph books) Meeko and of course Chip and Dale...were the characters we saw and got picks with...they also do a little dance and follow the leader with the kids.

I think other posters have completed the list of who appears.

I am always pleased with the amount of interaction my girls get with the characters there. They really take the time to enjoy your kids there - the amount of "play" at your table is especially enhanced if the kids have toys and such. We had one of our Animal Kingdom Lodge little African spin-drums during our last meal (for cheering on marathoners) and each character who saw it took time to play with it. Plus, the Rangers who come with the "woodland characters" are really nice.

They do a group activity by the buffet, but it's much less "hectic" and rambunctious than Goofy's kitchen - we like the lower ambient noise level better at Storytellers.

It's a fuzzier and more gentle character breakfast.:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for the replies! I should have clarified that the kids going this trip are 13 and 18 so they won't be into the dances, etc, but they do like character photos. We wanted to do a different meal than we've done in the past and I like that you can order off the menu for this one.

For those of you who have opted for the buffet, how did you like it?

We didn't do the buffet, but I can highly recommend the Banana Stuffed French Toast.

Other than Chip and Dale, I think the characters can vary. We saw Koda and Kenai. Brer Bear was there too, but never made his way to our side. It was fine, but I was sooo much more impressed with Goofy's Kitchen. We saw a bunch of characters there (7, I think.)

Does anyone know what time Chip and Dale leave for the day? I think I remember it being around 10:30 or so (from a previous post made by Bumbershoot). When I spoke with Disney Dining, she said it was 11:00, but I remember it being earlier. I want to make sure we make our PS early enough to see them. :)

Chip and Dale used to leave early to go to the Disney Visa private meet and greet, but now that they aren't the characters doing the greet anymore, they probably have extended their hours at Storyteller's.

I didn't even think of them having no thumbs and not able to sign the books. I don't do the autograph book and my kids are too "big" for that sort of thing.

I prefer the buffet for dinner rather than for breakfast. I just think for what's offered the buffet would be better fare at dinner than at breakfast. I tend to think that way in the way of breakfast in general. I would rather eat out for lunch and dinner than breakfast. I know that there are some folks that love breakfast. Breakfast was good. Like mentioned before, the steak and eggs are great.

...Chip and Dale still do the Visa meet and greet. I believe they've been the characters along with Pluto as of late. Instead of Chip & Dale or Mickey & Goofy, it's now Chip & Dale or Pluto.

I always get the buffet and my husband gets the French Toast. That way our under 2 yr old eats well!

I like the buffet. Not as many items as Goofy's Kitchen, but all very freshly made. They have an omlet and waffle station with the usual items. A really great tray of dill smoked salmon, lots of fresh fruit, eggs benedict, chicken-apple sausage, applewood bacon, good biscuits and gravy (and I am really picky about my B&G), a fair amount of pastries/muffins, asparagus or brocolini, scrambled eggs and country potatoes, etc. There's also cereal and oatmeal, too. There may be more, but I think I hit most of the items.

Thanks!.....That makes sense. We plan to sleep in later that day and make a late P.S for breakfast. but I wanted to make sure we got there in time to see C&D. :)
