Characters at Epcot

My family will be arriving on a Sunday, and going to Chef Mickey's for dinner @ 5:30, we want to go to Epcot on the monorail after dinner to see Illuninations. Are there characters in the evening out at World Showcase, Future World will probably be closed by the time we get there. We will be going back to Epcot on Wednesday, but not staying all day. Thanks for anyone with responses.

Most of the characters at EPCOT ARE in WS. They hang out around the country that they live in in the movie (does that make sense?) However, I have no idea what times they are there. When you go into the park you get a list of when/where to see the characters. Someone who has been recently may be able to tell you more. My kids don't do autographs so we only see the characters if we happen to be around when they are. We have seen Belle, Jasmine, etc. Sorry I can't help more.

Most of the characters are usually gone by the late evening. The Pooh characters and Alice at UK seem to stay out later than most though, you can usually still see them out until 8:30 or so. Most of the others are gone by 6pm or so.

Epcot is our fav park, we are there all the time...in the WS we see the characters when they open at 11 am and into the late afternoon...we never see them at night

We made this mistake our first trip. Didn't hit WS til evening. Most of the characters were gone by then. Check out Steve Soares site for times/characters for each country. http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/index.htm

I'm not sure what time it closes but there is the Character Connection in EPCOT. It's a great place to see the characters and it's inside in the air conditioning. It's located in Innovations. When you enter EPCOT when you hit the big fountain turn right and go towards the land. The entrace to the character connection will be on your left.

the character connection typically closes around 5pm.....just fyi.........

The Character Spot closes at 5:30.
