I'm going to WDW in July or Aug. 2009 and was wondering where to find a few characters!

I'm already planning on going to 1900 Park Faire Breakfast AND Dinner for my neice.

You can see some of the characters from "The Lion King" at the AK as well as Tarzan and Jane and the Jungle Book characters. But for the most part most of them are in the parades, etc.

I ask a cast memeber and they have always been helpful and 99% correct.

FYI-There are many different characters that come to the entrance of AK just for pictures and autographs when the park closes. The lines for these are not very long and the photo op's are GREAT!

Buzz Lightyear & Stitch- MK in front of the Carousel of Progress

MAKE SURE YOU GET A PHOTOPASS CARD FROM THE FIRST CM YOU ENCOUNTER AT YOUR FIRST PARK!!!!
These are FREE and if you forget it on another day or lose it they will give you a new one at each photo op. When you get home you can order the pictures you want OR NOT, or do like I did and order a Photopass CD that has ALL of your pictures on it. The CM are spread out all over each park.
FYI-Get a picture of your entire family at the front of each parks main entrance & a separate one of just the kids. (MK-Castle & Pirates of the Carr., AK-Entrance Sign & The TREE, MGM-The Hat & TOT, Epcot-The Ball & the fountains at the plaza)

FOR THE BEST PICTURE OF THE CASTLE IT IS NOT ON MAIN
STREET!!!!!!
We came across this photo op by accident and I hate to give it away but here goes...
At the end of main street on the right side of the road there is a bridge that goes to Tomorrow Land. As you start across the bridge on the left is where the Photopass CM was standing. You can get THE ABSOLUTE BEST PICTURE OF THE CASTLE HERE!!!!!! You will stand on a small walkway surrounded by grass and trees and the background is ONLY The Castle! There will be NO PEOPLE in your picture except you and the view of the castle is completely unobstructed. Also, you can get a great picture of you and your sweetie in front of Mickey and Minnie Topiaries here.
BUT My favorite picture is the one the CM took here in front of the castle with our family in a circle holding Tinkerbell in our hands! It was weird to hold our hands together with nothing there but the picture turned out GREAT!

There are alot of other locations for Photopass, but these were my favorite pictures of our family and of just our children. At almost every Character Spot for pictures and autographs you will find a Photopass CM also. Let them take one after you take your own. Some of the ones they took were alot better! They will get very candid shots of your kids, not just the ones when they are posing.

Since you are not doing many of the character meals...But you are going to each park...that helps!
For Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, & Donald I would suggest Camp Minnie Mickey at AK. I think we have also run into Chip and Dale there.
For Pooh and the gang, there is Pooh's Playful place in MK.
Also you can go see Ariel right next door!
For Peter pan, capt. hook and Wendy I have had good luck at the Peter Pan ride itself!
Alice, Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee & Dum, and Queen of Hearts see to all take turns over by the tea cups in MK.
At MGM look for the Power Rangers in front of Stunt show...and just up the road a bit you will find the "Cars"...Kim Possible, Daisy Duck, Make sure you check for times! Also don't forget to go to Al's toy barn to find Buzz, Woody, Bull's eye, and the toy soliders.
We have ran into the fairy godmother right beind the castle...in front of Tink's shop.
Since you are wanting to see and find them all I would suggest that you hit every meet and greet you can. Some of them I don't know where you will find them at all...You might luck out with a few in the parades, but I am not sure what else to really tell you!

Everyone is soooo helpful here. We're taking our nice and nephew for New Years. They have never been. Our kids are teenagers so we have gotten out of the character picture/autograph phase. Thanks for reminding me of this fun experience and where to find the characters.

The last year we collected autographs, they had two lines at Mickey's house in Toon Town - one for Mickey, Minnie, and Donald and the other was Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. Not sure if the "venue" changes but I liked having a private meet and greet, even if for only a few minutes, AND getting three autographs while only waiting in one line.

ill tell u what.. you can look for alot of the popular characters by the big hat in MGM (Disney Studios now)

town square is a good place or toontown usually has some good ones including the princesses, usually cinderella, belle, and aurora

right behind the castle now is either the stepmother with the 2 stepsisters or the fairy godmother (always fun to see!)

all over the world showcase in epcot you will find characters before 5 or 6 PM- the 3 cabelleros in mexico, belle and beast in france, the aladdin gang in moracco, winnie the pooh in the UK, and usually some random characters in the the alley by the US pavilion

you wont have a problem finding most of the ones you wish to see, they are pretty common.. the problem is finding the time for them all! but it will be lots of fun good luck have a great time
