Characterpalooza?

I can only assume that the reason they don't is that it is only available for such a short period of time (20 minutes). If they promoted it, there would be hundreds of people that would be waiting, and there would be people at the end of the line that would not get to meet anyone. That wouldn't make for a very magical time.
As @lovethattink posted above, it's an unscheduled Magical Moment that is totally dependent upon how the Fantasmic performers are scheduled. When the Fantasmic CM begins their day in a show/parade in another park, they arrive at DHS in time for Fantasmic - not for Palooza.

Shows and parades have priority over filler sets/Palooza so that's why there aren't very many characters out on a regular basis. Palooza is just a means for the full-time CMs to get a full shift if they aren't scheduled in another show.

When Palooza was heavily promoted on blog sites, the crowd was unmanageable and Palooza had to be switched to random locations and times. That's why scheduled times can no longer be found on Kenny's site or here on DIS.

He troubles himself to gather the info and put it in one place, along with times, etc.
Disney does not do a complete job with listing characters.
His site is not much money. I totally see the point in paying for his leg work.
If you don't fine but don't ask others to provide info on something he's asked not be shared to non-paying subscribers.

@kennythepirate 's site is definitely worth the money. It's such a time saver!
Agree with both posters, very much so.

Great explanation, thanks! :goodvibes

I did not nor am I asking others to provide any information KTP has worked hard to put together. What I did say, was that it was crazy how hard it is to find information about this from Disney themselves. Since this is something Disney does in their park, you would think they would provide more information on it. If people want to pay a third party for that, go for it. I just said I personally did not see the point for me. I just wish Disney would promote it as being available.
Got it. I did misunderstand

I've seen more accurate character times on Kenny's site than on Disney's site. Totally worth the extra 7 dollars. I found 50 characters in February in just four days thanks to Kenny and his site.

We went last week, and they never came out, my girls were very disappointed, we waited for about an hour and a half.

As a current entertainment cast member, this is absolutely correct! Keep in mind that it is also dependent on the availability of spare character attendants as well, because as you know it can be quite a frenzy when people notice that sometimes "rare" characters are meeting. :)
