What characters can we expect to see at the MK? My niece is a huge fan of the Aristocats, and would love to see Marie. I noticed her on the Tokyo Disney land website.

What characters only come out during special times, or very rarely, like Dumbo and Bambi or VIllians (is there a villian meet and greet? My niece also love lady tremaine from Cinderella. )

Boy, you picked some hard characters. I don't think I've ever seen an aristocat. I know they have a villian character meal.

It is tough to say what characters you will run into, however I have noticed that in the past two years there have been more characters out and about than in years past. I have not seen Marie from the Aristocats but we have seen Goofy, Pluto, Pinochio, Tweedle Dee and Dumb, Alice, Mad Hatter, Daisy and Donald, Baloo, Snow White, Aurora (Sleeping Beuty), Pocahontas and many many more. There is a wide range of characters that could be out and about. For villains we have run into Jafar, Malificent, Cruella Deville, Captain Hook, the king from Robin Hood. Not as many villains as nice characters.
It also depends on where you are. You are likely to run into characters from Alice in Wonderland near the Tea Cups. We ran into Jafar in Morrocco, and Pinochio outside of Pinocio Haus restaurant. Aladin and Jasmin were at the flying carpet ride.
I don't think I have ever seen Mickey and Minnie outside of one of the meet and greets or character meals. At Animal Kingdom they were dressed in safari clothes. It made great pictures.

Dumbo was out last year when the ride was being rehabed, but hasn't been seen since.

No Aristocats or Bambi, but Thumper has been seen on very rare occasions.

The actual Villain meet & greet is during the Halloween Party.

Not sure how long, but it was gone before our Dec 2004 trip - actually I started planning in Jan & it was already gone.

Villains are supposed to be scary. But you're right, that's why they stopped.

I never heard of an Aristocat character out anytime in the last few years. Maybe a long, long time ago.

Sadly villains seem to be down in numbers in recent years. Prince John and Captain Hook are the most frequent ones, it seems. Hook is usually near the Pirates of the Caribbean. Prince John could pop up in Town Square (large courtyard after entering Magic Kingdom).

Lady Tremaine is listed as a meetable character on many character websites, but I never heard of anyone ever meeting her anytime in the last few years. I never seen an Internet photo of anyone meeting her in recent years.

No Bambi, but Thumper exists but hardly ever gets out. He has been in Town Square at Magic Kingdom on rare ocassion in prior years, but I have no idea if he been out anytime recently or not. Dumbo did meets during the rehab of his ride and I haven't heard from anyone seeing him since.

You did pick some tough characters to ask about! Have a great time looking for characters! Sometimes you never know who may pop up!

One idea--as soon as you get to MK, go to City Hall and ask if they know if those characters will be in the park. They usually can call someone to give you an answer, time and where to be. Good luck--we wanted to see Sleeping Beauty and we're told she wouldn't be there. We finally found her at Epcot. Good luck!

We saw Gov. Ratcliffe on our July trip. Don't know how easy or hard he is to find. We were also able to pick up Jiminy Cricket who is somewhat difficult to spot. We really wnated to find Daisy but she did a good job of hiding from us.

Marie has been making regular appearences at Hong Kong Disneyland and has been appearing at least in parades in Tokyo Disneyland, but she hasn't made any appearences outside the Asian parks yet. Scat Cat and his band use to appear at WDW in the 70s, but they haven't appeared anywhere in decades.

As previously mentioned, Dumbo and Thumper do come out but only on extremly rare occasions. It's hard to say when they'll come out though. It would be nice to see them out more, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Lady Tremaine has appeared in WDW before in special event parades (though never the daily ones that I can recall) and such, but has not been seen in many years. Just this past October, I heard she was at Disney's California Adventure doing meet-and-greets at Mickey's Halloween Treat (DCA's equivilent of MNSSHP), but that's all I've heard of her in years.
