Character swap - progress thread!! CLOSED & COMPLETE

MCP, great letters!!!! And, you and NemoMom do not need to go back and redo your letters. It'll only be 1 letter and they will still be different and they aren't next to each other. All is good!:goodvibes

I am going to have to go write down what everyone in my group is doing so I don't duplicate it.

That's why I went ahead and put the slide show up. It'll help us all see what's already been done.:goodvibes But, even if they are done similar, they will not be the same. All is good!:goodvibes

I've gotten 2 more groups finished!!!! Only 1 more element group and then it's onto letters.

Group I - Pinocchio
CharacterSwap001-2.jpg

Group K - Marie -
On the frame, I only attached the background paper at the bottom incase someone wanted to use it as a photomat instead of a journal box.

The couch on the photomat is pop-dotted and a photo can slide underneath easily.

Those are both really nice. But I confess to longing for the Marie one. We have not ever seen her. But I would totally spend all day in France to wait for her to put a picture on that mat.

Me too!! DIT I love these :)

oh my goodness everything looks so wonderful!!!!! Beautiful work ladies!

I've made the fairy godmother and a lyric piece but I don't feel they are cohesive enough and am drawing a blank at the moment. Perhaps a little Cinderella on this rainy day will inspire :)

Keep the pictures coming! They are so incredible! :)

traci -- love those letter. Another vote here for NOT re-doing the letters. I am sure that the letters are different enough.

Stephanie -- that Marie set is gorgeous! What is the frame from? I love the corner topper piece for Pinocchio. I can definitely see lifting that idea.

PHOEY!!!!!! I love the Pinocchio nd Marie. They are beutiful. The title for Pinocchio is great. I love it. Never seen one done like that. Marie (never seen her) I just love the photo mat. :sad1: I am crying I do not get one.

Traci-do not re do yours. Waaaaayyyy to much trouble. My glass slipper and pumpkin are cuts from HEA. So they are a little different. If I end up with some extra time (still have 2 more groups plus 45 pages for the MAW swap) I might try to re do.

Susan was Mr. Incrediable hard to cut out? He is pretty cool. And we got a lot of pics with him. Might have to try cutting him later in the future.

Mr Incredible - -paper piecing, mat and 2 shapes (file from Mardenz)

Susan- how did you cut these? I have lots of Incredible pictures, Frozone too and I would love to scraplift.

Susan, I love your Mr. Incredible set. I'm so happy I get that!!!!

Thank you everyone!!!!

The frame and the couch are cut from the French Manor cart. Neither had a shadow feature so I used my Cricut markers to help it stand out more.

I was tired of doing the standard rectangle topper so I decided to try something a bit different for Pinocchio. It makes a nice change!

I'm going to re-do my Cindy "A" letters tonight. I pulled the stickers off with no damage and I have a new idea after searching the internet.

Does anyone in the group plan on doing the clock tower (striking midnight)?

Group 13 – CINDERELLA MAKE 5
1. L & L - AlexWyattMommy
2. C & A - mycutiepatooties
3. D & E - momto2princesses
4. I & R - Lovemy3kiddos
5. N & E - NemoMom

Susan and Stephanie...I am drooling over your sets here! So bummed that I don't get them:sad1:

I feel so completely inadequate right now. You girls make my stuff look like preschool art projects! eek!:scared1:

I was looking at the Pinocchio set thinking i wish i got that one - and i do! yey!! He's one of the main characters i have trouble with ideas for!

Love the marie set too - we were in france waiting to see Sleeping Beauty and when we were second in line marie came out so we decided to see SB first then go over and she went in before we got there! gutted! xx

I thought it would be, but it really wasn't at all. I was concerned with the little bits that make up the logo on his shirt, but they cut out fine. I put the pencil mark on the backs so I wouldn't forget which end was up. This helps a lot.

I have Sure Cuts a Lot (SCAL). Here is their site: http://www.craftedge.com/index.html

I used a cut file from this site.
http://mardenz.blogspot.com/search/label/SCAL/

I have not mastered making my own cut files and I am not sure I will ever put in the effort to do so. There are plenty of free and very inexpensive cut files available. There are a ton of free fonts. This makes SCAL very much worth the price to me. I have been using SCAL and my cricut and CDS, sometimes everything is open all at once, for 2+ years and have not had any problems. I think SCAL is a very good investment if you have a cricut.

Yeah! I get the Marie set and the Mr. Incredible set. I have seen Marie a few times now. She is out very regularly in France nowadays (at least in coolker weather. I haven't been in the area she is at during the right time of day (noon through midafternoon) since the summer started. She comes out to the column with the advertisements around it and the line goes along the fence.

Somebody got her French Manor cart! OMG, I love love love Marie!

I've been considering the SCAL. I guess between the ideas on this tread and needing to cut Spaceship Earth letters for the Epcot swap that puts me over the edge and my decision is made :)

That bar just keeps getting higher and higher!! AWESOME work everyone!

DH and Banana went to Joanns and they came home with new mats for the cricut for me so maybe now I can come up with something!

Okay here are 4 more groups.

Group 8- Minnie Mouse
I included some Minnie ribbon, since my icon/pp I did not layer it,because I felt it might look to funny.

Group 9- Donald Duck

My orginal plan for the "K"was to make it look like his duck bill for the < part, but it just did not look right at all.

Group 10- Pluto and Goofy

This group worked out just like I envisioned it.

Group 13- Cinderella
The little vines on the "N" were just way to small to cut out so I left them the blue, but I think it adds a more subtle look to it.

Do you think I should redo Cindy? I have no problem using some undo and adding something else. I don't want us to have too many like letters.
