Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but I have just been asked to fill in a questionnaire "after your recent visit" about which characters we would most like to meet at DLP and which outfits we would most like to see the princesses in. Great fun to do and nice to see some different characters mentioned like Pocahontas and Jane and Tarzan. A few we weren't aware of too. Do hope this means we are going to get some new faces alongside the favourites. :)

I got a survey yesterday by email and deleted it without really looking at it. I did this because despite the fact I've done quite a lot of surveys over the years for Disney, nothing much seems to change in the place with regards to the things we aren't happy about :sad2:. What a sad way to feel but I do...

I guess I feel a bit disenfranchised with DLRP after our last trip (and the fact they still haven't even replied to my letter about the issues we had despite my emailing a reminder and even asking for a copy of their complaints procedure (to which I got an automated reply and no procedure!) - not good at all and if that is the way they want to treat their guests, then frankly my money is good anywhere!). I feel quite  and :sad2: about it all really. We go again in November and while I don't want to go looking for issues and want to really go with an open mind, if we find similar service, I just know DH won't go again for a long while (if at all).

Anyway, it is interesting to read that they are asking about characters - an overhaul is loooong overdue as things are just getting silly over there. Perhaps they really are going to do 'something'! :thumbsup2

Really? You've still not heard? That is disgraceful although I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, I never had a satisfactory reply when I wrote to complain that we had spent our entire Christmas '10 holiday with only tepid water in the hotel.

I hope you have better luck in November. :goodvibes

I would love if something happened in regards of which characters are out, but I don't see it coming.

Not after I was told at Princess Pavillion that Mulan isn't appearing there regularly anymore because there have been too many complaints she wasn't a real princess. :( It seems most people going seem to be happy seeing the standard characters over and over again.

I wouldn't be happy if I queued to see Mulan as we walked up to her in 2011 and in march saw her with no crowd! Infact if i queued that long and only saw Pocahontas, Mulan or jasmine I'd be really disappointed! May be I am happy to see the same princesses Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Ariel, Tiana and Rapunzel.

Changes I would love to see ariel in her mermaid outfit like she used to appear in WDW! I'd love to see the princes' out and some Disney junior characters handy manny, jake and even the terrible agent OSO

And I was never lucky to see Mulan out anywhere but when the Stars and Cars parade was still doing their show thing. I'd be very happy to meet her anywhere. :confused3

I also was overjoyed when I by chance caught Jasmine at the Pavillion, the CMs said she was rarely there too. Last time I saw her was for Stars and Cars too.

I can understand your reasoning though. But the "she's not a real princess" part I can't understand, that left me with my jaw open. I shouldn't be surprised though - when I finally met Tiana a mom approached the CM and asked who Tiana was. The CM didn't know either, and I had to chip in with my little French and explain. Thankfully I learned from NCIS what frog means in French. ;) (I don't expect anyone to know all Disney characters - but if you are working at a specialised venue like the Pavillion I'd expect the CMs to have at least a basic grasp.)

The easiest thing how to avoid those problems would be if they released that schedule. Not going to happen though. I saw one CM who clearly had a schedule in her hand, asked her when Tiana was out and she really tried to tell me they didn't know which princesses would be coming, they had to live with whoever was sent over. :headache:

I have seen jasmine every trip in studios when they have characters out at about 11 with Aladdin and Mulan with mushu. Have you not tried to meet them there?

Tiana we seem to bump in to every where when we arrived in September she was all alone no crowd what so ever and it was a busy day near where the parade ends. We also saw her where the parade starts again hardly any one with her. Saw her in the pavillion and at auberge.

Snow white and rapunzel I would love to meet though!

The whole I don't know who's here bugs me too, we were next to go in and asked who was in and they were all like I don't know! They could see them!

I've lost count of how often we tried that. Never worked. If we hang out there it seems to be a guarantee no one shows up. :sad2:

I finally met Mushu after years of trying at the pin event in April of all places. Mulan I met a couple of times in California in the end, but Mushu had been my character unicorn forever.

I have to say, the traditional Princesses have never been the most popular ones in our house, and while we have met Jasmine (DD was absolutely thrilled, she was her favourite of all then) and Mulan without going anywhere near a Princess meet n greet, we would both still be over the moon to meet Pocahontas - she is a real Princess ;)! I know she has been seen at DLP, but very rarely, and she should, in my opinion, be there.

I'd like the characters at the character meals to be decked out in relevant costumes, and possibly themed as well (ie we met Mickey in his Chef outfit on our first visit to Cafe Mickey in 2007 and it was brilliant to see him in a different outfit from his normal one).

I totally agree with the themed outfit I would love to see prince Mickey and princess Minnie in the auberge!

I guess Disney consider popular princesses are the ones who sell the merchandise! Pocahontas month at the Disney store was so poor in my opinion and we do like Pocahontas just would prefer to see some of our favorites! X

I've actually seen Prince Mickey there last year.

Prince Mickey and Princess Minnie were also at the Rapunzel Brunch on Bastille Day weekend. It looks like they are trying the themed costumes thing at the brunch events now. I've heard of cook outfits for the Paris brunch and of different countries' costumes for Around the World.

We try to avoid busy days like that though :( oh well I guess DD is more likely to recognize the. In their usual get up

The brunch is on every Sunday. I just happened to be around on Bastille Day weekend. ;) Themes are alternating though and it seems Rapunzel is one of the more rare ones.

We haven't been there for a Sunday brunch since 2008 we went to The steakhouse. It was lovely it was the first time I really Imagined going with my own little family free watching a little boy see Mickey for the first time I all most cried lol!

But with our schedules Sunday's just don't seem to be practical either arriving very early Sunday or arriving Saturday always seems to be the most expensive days :(
