I would like to see alot of Characters this year, since my dd (and myself) were very sick our last trip, we didn't get to meet alot..
Where are the best places to see Characters in Epcot? I heard about a Character Greeting area in FW -- where exactly is it, and who is usally there? Also when would be the best time to go there? (The Character Greet spot). :goodvibes

Each country in the WS has characters that come out during the day in specific spots. If you ask a CM they will be able to tell you the exact time everyone comes out.

Here is a link from allears that shows you what characters come out and where in Epcot.

the character spot (formerly known as the character connection) is next to fountainview cafe, next to innoventions west. you can't miss it, especially since the windows are now clear. you'll see it on your way to the land.

We saw Beauty and the Beast in front of France, and Mulan inside China. :D

Here's a link to a web site with a lot of info about entertainment and characters:

http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

If you click on "EPCOT" it will give you many of the current times for meet-and-greets and other entertainment. It currently lists the Character Spot as being open from 9am-9pm. Typically, you'll find most of the major characters there- Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Chip & Dale.

Like a PP said, there is a common character meeting place in FW, when we were there in July, I saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, and a couple other, probably Donald, I think Lilo and Stitch too. You just stand in line and you can go through the line, stopping at who you want to see. They do pictures and autographs.

HTH :goodvibes

The characters that usually are in the WS are:
Mexico- combination of the 3 Caballaros (sp)
China- Mulan and/or Mushu
Germany- Snow White and/or Dopey
Morocco- combination of Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie
France- usually Belle, beast, Aurora, and sometimes Marie
UK- usually Mary Poppins, Alice, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore
Canada- Kenai and Koda

When is the best time to go to the character greeting spot?

If you have a Disney Visa, there's also an exclusive character meet and greet for cardholders that takes place 1:30-4:30pm daily in Innoventions West.

When is the best time to go to the character greeting spot?

I may be wrong, but I think if you check with a CM the day you are there they may know the best times.

We just sort of walked around and spotted Snow White & Dopey in Germany, Mary Poppins & Alice in Wonderland in UK, and Alladin & Jasmine in Morroco when we visited last.

We were there last week and at the Character Connection in FW, we saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale. We were in WS between 1:30 and 3:00 and saw Beast and Aurora in France, Genie and Aladdin and Jasmine in Morroco, Mulan and Mishu in China, Snow White and Dopey in Germany; Minnie, Donald Duck, Stitch and Big Al in American Adventure. I heard Alice was in UK but we didn't get a chance to see her.

We always see alot of characters in the countries. We usually hit there right when they open and see the 3 Caballeros, Mulan, Snow White, Brother Bear and his little Brother, Stitch, Snee, bunny from Pooh, Jasmine and Alladin, Beauty and the Beast.

OP keeps asking about the character spot and most responses are in regards to WS.

i'm not sure if i'm missing something here or what..

as far as the character spot goes, unfortunately because they made the windows clear now and everyone can see what's going on, it can get a line pretty fast. the wait was 20 minutes when i went there during the afternoon of the day it opened. which isn't horrible, but i've heard worse. it seems the best time might be when the park opens. or otherwise, while it normally closes at 5:30, it should re-open for evening EMH so if you're planning on being at epcot during evening emh, it might be smart to plan to go around that time.

Thanks! I already knew basically about the WS showcases, but i never knew about the Character meeting spot. I will definately have to check it out this year..
The year before last, we lucked out and met aladin and jafar in the countries.. but that was it.
