Character Spot reopened....

And I'm soooo dissapointed!!! I saw the review online and I'm not sure why it was closed so long?!? Similar, busy/ugly backgrounds and now only three characters instead of five?!? What the what?! And it's not even arder to find ones...Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto. My word...they're everywhere. Ugh.

Bummer! One more thing to strike off of our list since we are eating in Chef Mickey's and the days of getting multiple autographs is gone.

I'll admit I was expecting more too. Who knows, maybe more is planned. We were there the 2nd day after it reopened. The main thing I noticed was the additional TV screens. The line did move faster, but that might be attributed to fewer characters. They did spend more time with my children than in 2012 and the overall experience felt less rushed. I think it could have more to do with other plans they have for that area. You could tell there is quite a bit going on on the route.

We were there in early June. I believe it was June 8th around 1 and we decided to go in to get out of the heat/sun. There was no one there. Honestly, we walked in, went all the way through the line, the CM asked us how many, we told them, and when we got into the character area, not one person other than the characters and the other CMs. We hung out with each character for awhile, no one followed us in, even when we left it was still empty behind us. I'm not sure what happened, but it was fun.

I agree, the remodel is a big disappointment. There's only three characters and the backgrounds are awful. I also don't like where the queue is now. The only good thing that came out of it is that there are now two rooms.

My thinking is that they took more space for the upcoming Starbucks and that's why it took so long to reopen. Building walls and separating spaces...I was also expecting something different. Love the screens with the fun facts but they took characters out.
We won't know until the Starbucks is open, but the space that was the Ice Cream spot was a bit to small for a Starbucks, in my opinion.

I saw something about that on allears.net today....I was also dissapointed. I don't like that there is only 3 characters now and I have no idea what took so long as not much has changed IMO.... A lot of the new meet and greet spaces are very detailed, I expected a lot more changes
