Character Photo In the Room

Hello.

We are taking my nephew on his first trip to Disney. He loves Goofy and Mickey. Is there a place I can order a signed photo of either of these to be left in the room? I am willing to pay, but just need to know where to go to get it. We are staying at Boardwalk.

Why not just have a character sign with him his book when he's in the park. Or bring a photo and then have them sign it in the park with him there. I think he'd rather meet them than see a picture of them. My nephew freaked out on Merida. Got a signature, a picture with her and she held his hand...she wouldn't hold mine

I think you have a few options - I'd start by calling reservations and asking their advise. It's not a guarantee that they will give you one at check in but it never hurts. Another option is to check Ebay - you may be able to find one inexpensively and bring it with. You can also get a cute bundle through Disney florist that has autograph book included - they have several different styles.

Honestly I'd probably just print out a stock and copy their signatures with a sharpie. Quickest and easiest. Have fun!

Disney does in room celebrations, but they run $250-500. There are also people who do gift deliveries to the hotels who may be able to help you out. My personal favorite is Pixie Dust...you can Google her and her site will come up as a delivery service for all things Disney. She did a gift basket for my husband for our honeymoon at Disney that was awesome, and significantly cheaper than Disney Floral.

How about you just send him a note or notes in the mail from Goofy and Mickey - telling him how excited they are to meet him and have a picture made with him?
Meanwhile, I will look through my stash to see if I have a spare autograph of Mickey and Goofy.......I'd be happy to share if I do.

How old is your nephew?

Ask the concierge desk, and they will arrange for a photo to be delivered to your room. They might even add a few balloons.

Unless things have changed, this is not guaranteed. We have asked in the past and a couple of times we got our request but most of the time (especially in the last 5+ years) we were either told "we'll see what we can do" (which ended up being nothing) or "no, we no longer do this". It still does not hurt to ask

That's a bummer. When my son was little, we got one every trip.

On one of our trips I used a 3rd party vendor to have a 'basket' delivered to our room. This vendor can put anything in it from the parks. My daughter is all about Winnie the Pooh, so I picked an Eeyore stuffed animal & those little things that go on your MB that were Pooh themed, and a few other things. I had told her before our trip, that I heard that Mickey picks one guest per hotel to deliver a special 'surprise' to on their trip. So, the note on the basket was from Mickey, and it even said he couldn't wait to meet her on the day we had set to meet him at character dining.
