Character meet and greets

My family is considering a stay at Aulani in August. My kids really enjoy meeting characters.. On a typical day, which characters can we expect to see and are there meet and greets throughout the day, or has this been reduced since Covid?

If you download the Aulani app, you can see the full character schedule for the upcoming days. We haven’t been on our trip yet, but it looks like they are running almost all characters right now. I promised my one girl she would get to see Stitch….

We were there last week and there are character meet and greets daily, along with photopass photographers (and typically a long line). Occasionally characters will be walking around the pool area unannounced and you can just approach them and get a picture with them (there weren’t any photopass photographers for the unannounced characters). We were able to get Stitch, Chip, and Dale while we were at the pool.

The threads are correct on looking at the Iwa on the app for a few days (after 8A CST in our case) to see what characters are around and the spots they meet people in. We just came home sadly about 2 weeks ago and saw:
Mickey
Minnie
Goofy
Max
Pluto
Donald
Daisy
Moana
Chip and Dale
Stitch
Angel (Stitch's squeeze)
Duffy
Shelly May
Olu Mel

Lines were hit and miss. There was no wait for some characters and waits a mile long for others. People were waiting in lines before the character was arriving in some case to get a jump start. They sell autograph books in the gift shop as well.

As another person notes a lot of characters are just walking around between locations and stop to interact with guests a lot. Goofy got shoe deep in the kiddie pool when walking by us and waved to the crowds.
