Character meal suggestions. We will be there Tuesday - Friday the last week of may with our 3yr old boy and daughters 4 and 6. Can't afford two. Are there usually princesses at goofy's kitchen?

Been twice and have seen a few but I don't think any certain character (except Goofy) is a sure thing. (FWIW, we had a very poor experience all around the last time we were there and don't plan to go back.)

I have also done lunch at Ariel's Grotto, which is the motherlode of Princesses. Given the age of your kids (presuming your little DS won't mind) I would really recommend that one if character interaction is your main goal. The food at Ariel's is much better albiet not a buffet and not so kid friendly although they of course have a children's menu. Good Luck! princess:

We went to Goofy's Kitchen and Minnie's Breakfast twice in the last seven months. We saw Jasmine both times at Goofy's. We went there for dinner. It is very expensive and the character interaction isn't as good as it has been for us at Minnie's. After our last time at Goofy's, we won't return. It wasn't terrible but we didn't have many characters make it to our table even though we knew they were there.
At Minnie's, we've never seen princesses but both times the characters have been really great and it seems like they are at your table so much that there is hardly time to eat.

we've had the opposite experience. We usually see 8-10 characters at Goofys. We've seen 2 characters (hook and eeyore) twice and 4 on one other visit. We've given up on Minnie's. I kept retrying based on others saying it was great but it isn't for us. We prefer surfs up or Goofys or storytellers.

We just did Minnie's on Monday and it was fantastic. We met Pooh, Dale, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Minnie, and I think one other that I'm forgetting (need to check the camera). Peter Pan in particular was an absolute delight. He spent tons of time at each table and was awesome.

Last nite at Goofy's we saw Goofy at the picture spot. We saw Minnie, Chip, Pluto and Jasmine. After being there a little more than an hour, we saw Dale as we where leaving. It was dissapointing. They where very good and spent plenty of time with us. Everything seemed a little unorganised. They where calling peoples names for seating while they where still waiting for pictures. A couple of the characters stopped by our table 2 or 3 times within minutes. Dirty plates not removed quickly.
The food was good, the usual Disney buffet. New York strip, carved thin, pot roast, turkey, lobster pasta salad, some kind of orange chicken, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies. Pretty average salad bar. Seems a few more choices at the desert table.
Seems to be a crap shoot there. I'm 1 for 3 on the " Good " side.

We did Ariels Grotto for lunch last time we went. My DD was 5 and DS was just under 3. They both had a great time. My DS has several allergies and they were awesome at helping find him food. If the weather is nice too then the view from outside is awesome!

Ariel's Grotto is the only place Princesses are a sure thing- and it is ONLY Princesses, no other characters. Minnies is our favorite as we usually see the most characters there and get the best interaction. We have always seen the Fairy Godmother there, but only occasionally have seen a Princess- I think we have seen Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. Goofy's is fun, we have probably seen a Princess or even two there more than at Minnies, but again it is not all the time. We saw Cinderella there once, Jasmine there once, and I think Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. We have also been there when we have not seen a Princess, but we have seen Aladdin or the Fairy Godmother.

Minnies is our fav It has the most chrs and a little of everything. I have seen princess there too
