Character meals...

Cheapest buffet is Minnie & Friends (breakfast) in DL, however at Storytellers Cafe (breakfast) you can order off the menu which may be cheaper depending on what you get.

Out of all the character meals (breakfast, lunch or dinner) is there one that is cheaper than the other?

Goofy's and Ariel's are the most expensive (although Goofy's is a bit cheaper for breakfast than dinner, and also cheaper during the off-peak seasons than during the peak seasons). They are considered premium dining. Surf's Up with Mickey is pretty costly too.

Really, your best bet for cheaper is either Minnie & Friends - it's a few bucks cheaper than Goofy's and Surf's Up, I think, and it has lots and lots of characters so you get big bang for your buck, OR Storytellers Critter Breakfast - which allows you to order off the menu or get the small buffet. Their buffet at this time of year is about $23.00. During peak season it's a few dollars more. The menu items hover in the range of $16 - $18-ish.

I just made reservations for the Plaza Inn at the end of Nov and was suprised that the cost they told me was $23.99 adults and $14.99 kids ( at least I think that was it). I was going to buy vouchers, but not really worth the hassle I think to save a couple of bucks. We have only done Goofy's once before and it was more.

When we were there a few weeks ago the cost was $23.99 for adults and 11.99 for kids. :goodvibes

Are the vouchers for the entire meal, or do you just get credit for whatever amount you've paid for them?

They are good for the whole meal with tax and tip as far as I know. You just hand them your vouchers to pay.

The vouchers on LastMinuteTravel for the non-premium is $30.66 and $15.82 with Getawaytoday at $31 and $16. These do include tax and tip, too. The premium price is $37.58 and $19.78 - I am not clear which are regular and premium, but dinner would be a premium versus Breakfast etc.

So the vouchers wouldn't be worth it at all for Minnie's Breakfast. There is no tip added there, so you are only paying tax on the $23.99 and 11.99 cost. :)
