We have ate at Goofy's many times. We usually stay at the DLH but this time we are staying at the GC and we were wondering about the character meals there. Any suggestions???? Also -- does anyone know the height for space mt. I can not seem to find it....thanks

40" for space. Here is a link to the disney list of requirements http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/help/gsDetail?name=HeightRequirementsGSDetailPage

My family likes breakfast at the Plaza with Minnie and friends. We like that we dont have waste time leaving the park, walking to the hotel and back again. The food was good and fresh. I like that they have cm's at the buffet line serving the food, so that I know other people have not touched my food. We had a great selection of characters and wondeful interaction on our last trip. We like to do early entry, then hit breakfast around 10-10:30. Then we just have a snack for lunch as we arent that hungry at that point.

I just reread your post. The only character meal at the GC is breakfast at Storytellers. You have a choice between ordering off the menu or having buffet. I've heard the food is wonderful, but I've only been for dinner (noncharacter). The characters are a bit more limited then at Goofy's or Minnies. There is usually a park ranger, Koda and Kenia (sp?) from brother bear, Chip and Dale, and sometimes Meeko or other "woodsy" type characters.

We've ate at Storytellers for dinner once, so it wasn't a Character meal. It's a nice place to eat and the food was okay (nothing too special IMO).

However what I understand about the Character breakfast is that it's just Chip and Dale, and characters from Brother Bear. No Goofy, Donald, Minnie ect.. Which just doesn't cut it for us. Brother Bear was a cute movie, but were just not that interested in paying that much for a meal and not to have the popular characters that we enjoy the most there. So I guess it would just depend on what characters you really want to be seeing during it.

We ate at Storytellers for the character breakfast this past Father's Day. I have to say foodwise, it was probably one of the best character breakfasts we have eaten at DL or WDW. It is much more lowkey than the others. You have the option to order off the regular menu if you don't want to do the buffet. The day we were there it was the two bears from Brother Bear (Koda and Kenai?), Dale and Meeko. Its a lovely restaurant but if you are going for characters just know they are limited.

I agree that the Minnie and Friends is a great option for a character meal inside the park. The two times I have eaten there it has been very hectic and disorganized but they do have so many characters and since its cheaper to boot it was still worth it. My brother has been several times in the off season and had wonderful experiences. I like to make a later seating so that we can do some things in the park during that nice, uncrowded morning time. And I agree with Linda, its nice that the food while buffet, is still served to you (the fruit, bagles and danish are self serve, all the hot stuff is served).
