Character meals with older kids?

Garden Grill breakfast is one of our favourite character meals for all ages. Great food and fantastic character interactions.
I agree with this. I loved Garden Grill breakfast. You get fresh delicious food, and the character interaction is awesome. I absolutely adore chip & dale. My friend and I (no kids in our group) loved it and had a blast. I also love that they bring the food to you so that you can sit and relax and wait for characters while you eat. Characters here are: Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale.

I also enjoyed Cape May breakfast buffet (dinner isnt a character meal here). Its a pretty quiet character meal in a lovely resort. Food is good and I love the characters here too. Characters here are: Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Minnie.

I was going to suggest Tusker House as well but I see you've already been there. I'd try something new to be honest. So many nice options. Crystal Palace is also a solid choice. Beautiful restaurant, adorable pooh characters, and we've always enjoyed the food (bfast is my fave thou).

Have you talked to them about face characters vs. costume characters? My now 12 year old boy is less embarrassed by costume characters. He wouldn't refuse to see princesses (he knows his younger sister would enjoy them), but he doesn't want to talk to them or be accused of having "girlfriends." LOL

My son would totally be in his element with face characters, especially princesses, and he needs to meet Gaston. I have a feeling their interaction will be hilarious. It's too bad Gaston isn't in a character meal, but I will wait in line, lol.

My DDs are 15 and 17 and they both still love doing the character meals. Their favorites are Garden Grill, Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare, Cape May Cafe, Akershus (all for breakfast). For my DD17s high school graduation trip in June, she has all of these plus CRT breakfast and Trattoria Al Forno breakfast on her itinerary :goodvibes.
