Everyone, we are bringing our 2 oldest grandchildren to WDW and our grandson who is 11 years old is ate up with Captain Jack, Pirates and also anything to do with Star Wars, we have been doing our research on things to do while we are there, my question is....is there anywhere they offer a character meal with Captain Jack or any Star Wars themeing, you would think it would be something that's offered since it's so popular right now.

Any help would be much appreciated

So sorry, but no ... at this time there are no character meals Captain Jack (or other pirates) or Star Wars characters.

There is a pirate tutorial outside of Pirates of the Caribbean - where you can see Jack Sparrow and the Jedi Training Academy outside the Star Wars ride, where some guests will get to "fight" Darth Vader. One thing to know is that very few children are chosen to participate at these events, but everyone can watch the "show"

There is also the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise (starting in July--no Capt Jack, but fireworks and other "pirates")

Enjoy your trip.:goodvibes

One can only hope that someone from Disney is reading your thread now and thinking "A character meal with Jack Sparrow...What a great idea!" It would appeal to my 12-year old son and 30-something me!:thumbsup2

Unfortunately, they do not offer either. :sad2: I would love to do a Capt Jack dinner too! I have read somewhere that they discontinued the Pirate Tutorial also. There is a dinner show in Orlando that is pirates if you will have a car. It's called Pirate's Dinner Adventure & they do have a website. You can sign up for for specials to be emailed for discounts, free kids meal etc.

and was told it all has to do with getting permission from who owns the rights to the character's. They said at this point they couldn't even do a Buzz Lightyear meal because Pixar owns the rights. Basically that they could just "show up" in the park but that a set meal/ dinner experience changed it. Kinda makes some sense ;). I would think they would if they could. This is just info I was told from a nice person at Disney Dinning so not sure if 100% correct
