Can I just say... I think it's kinda dumb that Mickey doesn't circulate at Chef Mickey's and Donald doesn't circulate at Donald's breakfast. The "main" characters really are my son's favorite and I can't decide because neither choice seems that great to me.

been a number of months since we've been to CM. Has Mickey stopped circulating now? That will be a big disappointment this summer if so.

Unfortunately its WDW method for extracting more $$ out of your wallet. The way it is now the only interaction you get is if you are open to spending big bucks for the photo op.

There are still other opportunities to interact with Donald and Mickey. Try the meet and greet in EPCOT. Actually I'm not sure if Donald is there but I know that Mickey is.

Mickey was certainly circulating at Chef Mickey's on Feb 6. Also in attendance were Donald, Daisy, Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy. We had a great time!

I don't know what the issue is. In 2009 we went to Tuskers and Chef Mickeys for breakfast. Both times the main characters circulated though all the tables.

This past month we only did see Donald outside and posed with him and at Chef Mickey for the 40 minutes we were there we only saw Goofy and Mickey in our section. I didn't understand that at all since we saw the other characters in the other sections but they too didn't seem to circulate.

If I had to choose between the two from my experiences in February, I would choose Tuskers. Yes, Donald didn't seem to have much time since he was outside but it could have been too we had been to Disney for the last 3 years straight (blessed I know) and my children had already visited him a lot over time and we didn't even ask for an autograph but I am certain he would have given one. The other characters at Tuskers were wonderful and interacted so much with every family. The service here was excellent as was the food.

Chef Mickey on the other hand was a disaster. First the photograph at the beginning was not operational. It happens I know but it got worse. We were early for our reservation but there was a large group of people that came up and their reservation was for even an hour past our reservation time. While waiting they found other people they knew and asked if they could form a group of 16. Wouldn't you know it they breezed through with no issues. There were others too that stated while waiting they had later times and they too (families of 4 like us) got seated ahead.

Once seated our waiter came around minimally. He didn't come out when the characters were out at all. That meant if Mickey or Goofy were out visiting anywhere in our section none of the waiters came out. We ran out of our drinks long ago. The food was good but standard fare. I didn't think the selection was anywhere near Tusker. As well, since it is one long table you can come at from either side, it meant long line ups when we were there in the value season. Tusker has different stations set up so it didn't seem so crowded.

I hope with whatever breakfast you choose, you will have an enjoyable one. I know for our family Chef Mickey is a never have to experience again.

We were at Chef Mickey's on Feb. 14th and Mickey circulated. He even let my 2 year old give him a high five when he had dirty hands :P (thankfully, I saw no residue on Mickey's gloves). Mickey did not participate in the birthday napkin dance though...
