What are the best top two character breakfast places IYO and why? I want to do two during our trip.

As a bonus question... What are the top two for dinner?

Our family favorites: Tusker House breakfast and Crystal Palace breakfast

For dinner: we loved Akershus for food, atmosphere and characters. 1900 Park Fare for characters, but the food was just okay.

I love the character interactions at 1900 Park Fare. I don't really have another favorite for breakfast. Crystal Palace is okay. I have nothing great to say about it but nothing bad, either.

As for dinner....I don't have great recommendations except to say I DO NOT recommend Chef Mickey's. It was pretty good the few times I was there more than a decade ago, but the last couple of times I have been there the food was just not good. I love food and had a very hard time finding anything I would consider tasty. Although I will say what really ruined it for me was where we were seated the last time. We were tucked away around a corner in an alcove that seems like it should have been a janitor's closet! We couldn't really see the other guests or what was going on, and there was no theming in this little room. The walls were a grayish white, and it was very boring other than the characters coming around now and again. I included a picture so you could see a little bit of what the closet was like. What's that on the wall, you ask? A fire extinguisher. The only thing in the room to look at. It was very cramped, and what you see is pretty much the entirety of the room as they were standing right behind their chairs and I was seated across from them against the wall.

Now I haven't had the pleasure of dining at either Tusker House (do have ADRs for next trip) or Garden Grove, but I have heard they are outstanding for character interactions and theming.

Breakfast I would say my top two are Cape May Cafe and Tusker House. Both have excellent character interaction (though there are rumors that may change at TH with the ROL packages - it has been reported that them no longer roaming but in a room (that CMs call "the closet") for greeting on your way out - no word on if this is true or not, so keep an eye out), and the food is good.

A very close third is Crystal Palace - again, great interaction. And the breakfast lasagna is to die for!!

As for dinner, I have not done any, but the only one I would consider is Garden Grill, which I have heard amazing things about.

Tusker House and Garden Grill, any meals. I've not had GG breakfast but have not seen an ill word of it.

I have a soft spot for Crystal Palace, breakfast.

We dont usually do character dinners, but the breakfasts are our favorite! Cape May Cafe, Crystal Palace and Tusker House are currently our must do's. We will also be trying Garden Grill for breakfast next week for the first time. 1900 Park Fare and Ohana are also really good! Chef Mickey is iconic but it is really hit or miss, the brunch is good though :)

I say dinner at Garden Grill nice to see the different parts of the land as a back drop. CMS are fun. Characters take their time with u. Food is good. Akerhaus has good food and characters are good.

Breakfast would be Tusker House and Ohana.

Dinner would be CRT and BOG even though it's not technically a character meal.

Breakfast - our top 2 are definitely Akershus and Cape May Cafe. Booked both for this years trip! Next year we really want to do Garden Grill for breakfast and Tusker House.

Dinner - Garden Grill is our number 1 and must do. Love it there!

While I was not a fan of the food at Chef Mickey's it was good to get the 5 character meets done with right there with the kids. They got the autographs they wanted and we did not have to wait in long lines to do it. The food was nothing to right home about but it served its purpose. The best one for us was 1900 since the character interaction was great and the food was just as good. The step sister and mother were great with the kids and I thought the food was very good.

Garden Grill all the way around. Akershus food was excellent. princesses are good, but prefer more than just princesses

We are not breakfast eaters so I can't help you there but for dinner my choices would be Ohana and Crystal Palace!

Of the following Tusker House (breakfast) and Akershus (breakfast) have been our favorites. We don't do many dinners bc we pay oop and breakfasts are cheaper.
  • Tusker House B
  • akershus B
  • CRT B
  • Chef Mickeys
  • Crystal Palace
  • Hollywood Vine lunch (this would be third place)
  • Park Fare B

Breakfast: Tusker House and Crystal Palace; these are tops both for the characters and the food.

Dinner: Akershus to get multiple princesses for 1 credit instead of using 2 at CRT. Garden Grill if you have really little children because it's so much easier to have the food brought to you; otherwise my other dinner pick would be 1900PF, more for the great character interaction (food is OK but not spectacular).

Garden Grill & Crystal Palace. Both had the best character interaction. Dinner food at CP is just ok, IMO, but their breakfast is awesome.

We have never done breakfast. For dinner, Garden Grill. The characters came around a lot and were great.

Crystal Palace is our favorite breakfast. Cape May was also good. We liked Chef Mickey's, but it has been several years since we've been there.
