Somebody told me that they heard they were starting a new "boy" themed character meal in January. I cannot seem to find any facts on this. Has anyone heard the same thing? I was hoping for either Buzz or Power Rangers.

I've been looking for this too, but I haven't found anything. Anyone know about this?

I know they did one on Mother's Day, and I am crossing my fingers that they'll have something by the time we go again in Feb. We're going to the princess lunch for our dds, so my son would be in heaven if they had one for him too.

They have a dinner on Friday nights at The Swan (Gulliver's Grill?) that features Timon and Rafiki.

Donald's Breakfastasaurus is pretty boyish-Mickey, Pluto, Goofy and Donald with lots of dinosaur references, artifacts, and if you get the right server, fun.

Disney definitely needs something special just for boys. As a mom of 2 boys, I sort of envy those who relentlessly fight for the CRT ADRs!! Our boys need a special meal too!!!

Mom of 3 boys who also desperately wishes Disney would realize that children with "y" chromosomes also would like some action!

My boys are now 11 & 8. The Soundstage buffet (where Playhouse Disney is now) used to have Aladdin, Rafiki, Timon & some others but I think DS8 was about 2ish they did away with it & the soundstage became Bear in the Big Blue House.

The rumors of a "new boys meal" have been circulating since then. Maybe the rumors will come true by the time I am bringing my grandchildren.

For whatever reason, Disney believes that parents will indulge/spoil or othrwise spend more money on girls (have you seen all the little princesses in their costumes with all the accessories going to breakfast?) than on boys. They have continually missed the boat on this one!

You would think that they would at least have a buffet where the characters cycled based on whatever the new movie was. Monsters, Incredibles, Chicken Little, etc. Sounds fun to me!

Another mother of 2 boys who gets jealous seeing the endless Princess "stuff" and constantly searching for a few cool boy things. Let's hope! I think Ohana is pretty Boyish. Mickey, Pluto Stitch & Lilo.

Another mom of 2 boys who would love to see a boys meal added. I think a meal with the Toy Story characters and the Incredibles would be great.

Couldn't agree more, as my 2 boys would love any of these characters.

As a mom of three boys, I've come to realize that Disney hates boys...or so it seems.

*and yes, I'm being sarcastic*

Yes, yes...there is Mickey, Pluto, Goofy and Donald but COME ON...there are definitely more males in all of Disney's cartoons...why do they only put them in all of the meals. Don't get me wrong, I adore Mickey and Friends but what about Woody, Buzz, Dash, Aladdin, Genie, Chicken Little, etc, etc. Come on Disney...wake up and smell the money! :flower:

Having two girls and now a boy, I would tend to agree that the present offerings are bit princess lopsided - GF, CRT, PSB (Akershus). I do think that the Pooh character set at CP would be a bit more gender neutral. Heck, my trip is not complete if I haven't bounced around a restaurant with Tigger. :bounce: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think the suggestions that people have some real possibilities. I know my son would just love to have lunch with the Incredibles. I believe that they had a villains character meal for a while, which may have been targeted more at boys than girls. :maleficen

Amen to that! I have a almost 2 year old and I would DEFINANTLY spend money on a boy costume (any prince would do) or a boy themed character meal.

I can't believe the discussion of a character meal for boys has never been mentioned in a Disney meeting. What are they thinking??

I wish they would too--even my DD7 is tiring of the "all princess, all the time" dining at WDW! Thank goodness--I tired of it years ago!! :rotfl:

I hear ya! The closest thing I found was the Pirate Cruise...even then it really isn't a meal thing, although they do get a sandwich and treats after the adventure.

A Toy Story or Power Ranger meals sound ingenious on my end! LOL!

Here here. My DS was nearly 3 when we went for breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Winnie et al and I thought then that this would never be repeated as he is growing up and out of Winnie. Just think of all of the options available and the merchandising opportunities for Disney. Rather than seeing all these girls walking into WDW at 8am you would see Power Rangers, Buzz, Woody, Peter Pan, Cpatain Hook.
Come on Disney offer a boys option as there are loads of mums out there who will be rushing for a PS!

All the princesses end up getting married to princes? So why can't they do a princes dinner as well as a princesses dinner?
