Character meals for 2 grown women?

I'm going to be 25 in December while in Disney. DH and I have ressies for Cinderella's Royal Table where I will show up in my "Birthday Princess" shirt I ordered off of Disney Shopping. :) DOn't think I'm not going to make a big deal over the princesses!! Disney is absolutely for everyone and don't even feel weird about booking for a minute. You'll have a blast!!

You should definately go! When I was there for my honeymoon (Jan), DH and I had breakfast in the castle with all the princesses, lunch with Pooh and friends and breakfast with Mickey at Chef Mickey. We had a great time and the characters were great.

A few weeks ago I went with my best friend and we had lunch at LTT and breakfast with Donald at AK. We had a great time and the characters were tons of fun - we got so much interaction with them!

Go and have fun - Disney is for everyone -- little ones and those that are young at heart :wizard:

Definitely do a character breakfast or two while you're there. Our last trip was 9 adults and we did 2 character breakfasts - Donalds Breakfastasaurus at Animal Kingdom and Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary. We're going again the beginning on November with 7 adults and again are doing a character breakfast, this time at Cape May Cafe. Go enjoy yourself, be a kid, experience the Disney Magic!!!!! :thumbsup2

Have to say, yep for my Mum and I this is a tradition. Both grown women, both have to have a breakfast with Goofy & Friends at Cape May at the Beach Club when we are there together.

October 22 - we'll be there!

The only character meal we did without kids was LTT. It was early in the character meal thing, so the characters interacted with us quite a bit. At most of the others, we've felt a little bit let down with the amount of character interaction. They will spend twice as long at your table if you have an autograph book to sign, as if you are just taking pictures. That just doesn't seem fair to me.

Also, they are fun, but don't expect a relaxing meal. I wouldn't doone every day, because they just aren't quiet and relaxing.

As far as food goes, the better ones include CP, CM (breakfast and dinner), don't know personally about the new one at MGM but I hear it is good, 1900 Parke Fare (quite noisy though). Garden Grove had pretty good food and great character interaction. Aslo, this one is not as noisy as many of the others. We did breakfast, but the dinner looked good too.

The lesser food ones are CRT (do it once for the atmosphere, but don't expect stellar food, book on the first day you can, call at 7am) and LTT (unless you really like Thanksgiving type food. It wasn't bad, just not exciting food.) My sister did the princess one at Epcot, and didn't like the food very much, though the princess part was nice.

We've never done 'Ohana, Donald's B, Garden Grill had a different menu the last time we did it; the setting is actually kind of cool, but the food has gotten okay reviews. Plus we really like the new Seasons place below for lunch. Cape May looks good, but also fills up.

Then there are a few places that are not character meals, but fun without the characters: Prime Time Cafe, House of Blues, and Whispering Canyon. WC even has some pretty good food. PTC has great fried chicken, but otherwise expect traditional American food. the Mexican place in Epcot was a cool setting. The food was a little pricey, but I liked mine.

Some of the more adult places we've enjoyed are Boma (not for everyone though), Marrakesh, Big River Grille, Flying Fish, California Grill (sat in bar area, no ressies, appetizers in a cool setting, great sushi), Kimono's (a bit pricey, but good for a sushi fix), Yacht ClubGalley (great steak sandwich)

Do it! All kinds, ages of people go to character meals, and no one looks out of place. I know a wife who gave her DH a meal with the princesses as an anniversary gift (Hi, Samantha!). And although I never thought I'd get the courage, even adult women have gone solo to character meals. I just love to sit back and watch the characters interact with the little ones. It's so cute!

DBF and I (age 22 & 23) will be doing 2 character meals on on December trip! We can't wait! Ohana and Crystal Palace: here we come! :stitch: :tigger:

I'm now leaning toward Chef Mickey (been wanting to since before our last trip) and crystal palace.

I now have to convince my mom since she's shy

Two great choices! Now you'll just have to decide which meals :sunny:

Crystal Palace is really pretty in the morning, and we enjoyed the breakfast food quite a bit....but I have always though it looked really pretty at night too.
WE've done both for Chef Mickeys, and both were really great. The dinner is fairly normal American food, nothing too exotic (carved meats, peel n' eat shrimp, salad bar, breads). Breakfast was also excellent.

My partner and I are both over 40. We went to Crystal Palace a couple of years ago. It was the best experience ever! Eeyore came to our table, and we were both so completely overjoyed that we both cried like a couple of freaks. We're taking my mom to Crystal Palace as a surprise this Christmas!

DH and I have been to the character breakfast at Cape May twice and really enjoyed it both times. I love seeing the characters (Minnie, Chip and Goofy) in their beach wear! The second time we had my 86-year-old mom with us. I mentioned to Goofy that it was my mom's first visit to WDW. He sat down next to her and spent a lot of time with her. It was so great! We had a late breakfast that day and the restaurant wasn't very crowded so we got a lot of attention from the other characters, too. Oh, and we really enjoyed to food, too and the service there was wonderful!
