Hi! This trip we wanted to try out a new character meal. We have done Crystal Palace, Donalds Brantasaurs (spelling?), Cape May, Cinderella's Castle and Chef Mickey's. Can you recommend any others? We aren't too concerned with food (kids don't eat anyways because they are so excited about the characters). Looking for neat place, lots of character interaction and maybe ? not too crowded seating. Any suggestions? My kids love Mickey and Minnie the best if that helps?

that you didn't mention are Ohana at the Poly with Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey. And 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. It usually has Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Tigger and Pooh.

As far as I know Minnie is only at the Cape May and CM breakfasts.

We recently got back from our daughter's first birthday/first trip to WDW. The two best character interactions we had were at 'Ohana for breakfast and Garden Grill. We saw the characters about four times each at the Garden Grill and I think two or three times at 'Ohana.

The food was really good at both places as well. Although, I did find the breakfast at 'Ohana a little more to my liking. Fresh fruits, fresh scrambled eggs and really tasty breakfast potatoes. Yum! My husband and son loved the bacon and sausage and breakfast breads. Both meals are served family style, no buffets here.

As the PP said, 'Ohana is Mickey (in a Hawaiian shirt), Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. It's a fun breakfast with a parade for the kids and fun music. Garden Grill is farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. The restaurant is a revolving restaurant that shows scenes from Living with the Land. Both are super fun and are on our must-do list for next year.:thumbsup2

I would also suggest Ohana breakfast - great character interaction, especially with Stitch & Pluto who are a riot. The food is good and is served family style + we enjoy the relaxed Polynesian atmosphere.

We did Donald's Safari Breakfast and it was great! The characters came to each table for pictures and autographs and lead a Conga Line around the restaurant with little instruments for the kids to play. Goofy even sat down at the table next to us and pretended to drink the lady's Jungle Juice!

We did Donalds Safari Breakfast last trip it was great, the food was good but the character interaction was superb - they really took their time going round the tables so you get plenty of pics, we had a ball.

Both nieces & nephews have enjoyed Tusker House Character breakfast at AK. What am I saying we all enjoyed it, the interaction with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald was fantastic. We got great photos of all of us with the characters, we all danced and had a good breakfast. We had adr's for 8:45, arrived at 8:30 and they took us in. I ran out and got the FP for everyone for the Safari. We all had a great time and then hit the safari. We've done it 3 time in the last 4 years and have never been disApointed.

We like chip and dales at garden grove in epcot next to soarin. Its chip n dale, mickey and pluto. Its a family style meal so you do not have to get up and they bring more if u request more. It is not cramped like chef mickeys and crystal palace. It is a round set up on 2 levels that rotates very slowly during your meal so where your table starts and ends up at the end of the meal who knows, we have always had a nice time because it is semi private where you are not on top of everyone and can talk and relax a little because you are not hearing everyone around u. Only issue is it opens at 4pm so there is no breakfast or lunch so there is limited seating.

Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House is my new favorite character meal! Great buffet selection, fun character interaction. It's far superior, in my opinion, to some of the more popular choices like Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. It's definitely worth trying.

Also, if you're willing to try a character dinner, perhaps consider the Garden Grill at Epcot. It's generally a little quieter than some of the breakfasts, and the food is quite good.

We love the Garden Grill at Epcot. I just added an update on my TR with pics of the food, and video of the character interaction. It is on the last page of my TR if you want to look. We love it because like OP said, it is semi private. You don't have neighbors right around you. We have four kids and they all stay in the booth. We also like that you can see the living with the land ride while you are rotating. The food is good as well. They use food that they grow in the living with the land ride. You can tell the salad is fresh. I love fresh veggies!! It has great character interaction. Chip and Dale are hilarious, and you don't feel rushed with the characters. It's one of our must do's on every trip!!

I haven't done the Tusker house for breakfast yet, but after reading the other reviews I think I will add that to my next trip as well!

So many choices, so little time. Life is tough!;)

Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House is one I will do every time.

We have done every character meal except Cape May and Backyard BBQ. We've always had great character interaction at Garden Grill, especially right when it opens. We have also done both breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The Mad Hatter at breakfast is great as is the step-sisters at dinner. I too agree with O'hana's because we have had great interaction there also. Guess it just depends on if you looking for breakfast or dinner.

One of my favorites is the Garden Grove character dinner (at the Swan). On Monday & Friday nights, they have Timon and Rafiki for characters and it's usually not crowded at all, thus the characters have plenty of time to interact with the guests. On other nights, they have Goofy & Pluto (I think)
