Does anyone have a suggestion for a great character meal for my nephew's birthday? He'll be turning 2 (not 3 - despite my typo in the subject line above) on our upcoming trip. Since Donald's breakfast was cancelled, I'm stumped. We're looking for something suited to a little boy.

We already have plans to attend the Playhouse Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine - so I'm looking for another spot. Thanks all! :thumbsup2

You will love Hollywood and Vine! We had lunch there and the character interaction is great! I highly recommend Chef Mickey's for his age group. I have never been to it (we are going in January) but hear that Crystal Palace is good too!

Here are some good breakfast options (depending on who your nephew's favorite characters are):

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort has Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.

Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom has Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet.

'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort has Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, & Stitch.

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort has Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale.

Good luck with whatever you choose! Disney with a 3 year old can be so much fun (especially on his birthday)! :)

Our 3 year old niece loved CM dinner because the characters were great but the food was terrible and she did not like it either.

I would go to Cape May breakfast with Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale in their bathing suits. If you go early the place is empty and you get a ton of character time...the food is awesome too

Last year one of my boys were the age you are talking about....he loved.....Chef Mickey's. We did go to Donald's and he loved that too but I realize that's not a option for you now. I have a great pic of Pluto eating his head. Pluto is now his favorite character, go figure!

If I had to pick one, I would pick The Garden Grill.

The characters there are Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale.
I picked this one, because you don't have the stress of timing when the characters come to the table with getting your food. At this restaurant, food is served family style, and your are seated at all times. Plus the restaurant slightly moves to show you different sceneries throughout the meal. This is one my favorite character meals!!!!:thumbsup2

To me, it would be a toss up between Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern or Garden Grill.

The characters at the Crystal Palace are Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger. The food is served buffet style.

The characters at the Liberty Tree Tavern are dressed in Revolutionary style clothes. The food is served family style.

The characters at the Garden Grill are dressed in farming/gardening attire. The food is served family style.

We chose Chef Mickey's for breakfast.

I can let you know how my 3 year old ds liked it in a few weeks!
