character meal adults would enjoy

Hi,
I am tenatively planning our ADR's for our Thanksgiving trip. I asked my 6 year old daughter what characters she definitely wanted a meal with, and she chose Pooh and friends, so we have put Crystal Palace on our list. Since we will have free dining, I think she would enjoy another character meal, but she isn't into the princesses. Also, Dh is not too keen on the character meals if it means that place is very loud and chaotic. So, is there and adult friendly meal with good food that anyone would recommend?

I would recommend Chef Mickey's or the breakfast buffet at Cape May Cafe. Both have traditional Disney characters like Minnie and Goofy. The food at both is very good. However, Cape May Cafe might be a little more low key than Chef Mickey's. Check out the menus, read some reviews, and decide on which you would prefer! I've never had a bad experience with a character meal.

Ohana brkfst or Cape May Cafe brkfst. Ohana brkfst is pretty relaxed - good food served family style (eggs, mickey waffles, biscuits, fruit, bacon, sausage, brkfst breads) & fun character interaction with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo & Stitch. Cape May Cafe brksft is very calm & relaxed with a good brkfst buffet (although somewhat more limited than other WDW brkfst buffets). The character interaction is very good - you get Minnie, Goofy & Donald in their swimming suits.

I don't like breakfasts, but all the character meals that might appeal are breakfast meals - Tusker House (Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Daisy - good lineup), Ohana (Mickey, Lilo and Stitch) and maybe Cape May (love Goofy and I think Donald is there too). I hear there is some sort of show or dancing at Tusker House though. No interest in Chef Mickey's whatsoever - it's very loud and chaotic.

If you want a dinner, Garden Grill has Mickey, plus Chip & Dale who can usually be counted on for mischief, but I have no idea what the food is like.

We are 2 adults going on our own and we narrowed it down to Cape May or Tusker House breakfasts ... decided on Cape May because on our AK day we wanted to do breakfast at Boma instead.

(And then, God help us, we just added Akershus as well. :lmao: We're not princess fans, but we love the setting and Norwegian food and we wanted to eat at least one TS inside a park. :rotfl: And we do like some of the characters who "may appear"--Belle, Mulan, Mary Poppins--so... :rolleyes1 )

My wife and I really enjoyed Chef Mickey's for breakfast. Not just the usual breakfast food with some very yummy offereings.....and some great character interaction. Yes, its pretty loud and a bit crazy in there but still fun. We'll probably go back for dinner at some point.

Cape May Cafe hands down. It is the most "subdued" of the character meals we have ever been at.

I think your husband would like Tusker House (good food, great coffee and Juice)...daughter would love the characters (Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy dressed in safari). The place is less hectic than CM. They have a musical parade that your daughter will get. Cape May is another good place for breakfast.

i say all of them. I have never dined with the princesses because I have sons. Someday maybe on my next solo trip I will dine at the castle.

Tusker house! Especially for the coffee and juice!! It gets a little loud with the dancing, but it's cute to see. The food is divine and characters have been the best for us!
