Character Magic Bands

Not sure where to post this.....We want to personalize our magic bands and know how to do this but my SIL wants a the new tinker bell band that got releases back in January. We are all staying onsite and will be getting our bands in the mail. Can she get the tinker bell band in this process or will she need to purchase the band online somewhere and go through a link process? What happens to the one sent by wdw resorts?

If she is staying onsite and personalizes a Magic Band, that means choosing a color (red, yellow, lime green, blue, gray, orange or pink) and telling them what name to put inside the band (up to 9 characters). If she wants a special one, she will have to buy it in a gift shop when she is there. The cashier can link it for her. When that happens, she will be able to use either one of them for the rest of the trip and in the future. (She can wear the one she got in the mail one day, and the one she bought the next day, or alternate however she wants. Or just wear the new one.) As far as I know, you cannot purchase the special Magic Bands online; you must buy them at Disney World.

All correct. I have 18 I think, a couple of them are special edition ones. I can wear a different one each day. Nothing is on the band, they all just connect to your MDE. I always take extras for us each trip in event we lose one. You can find the in resort gift shops, DTD or in the park shops.
