Character interaction at Inventions

I've just seen on my other thread that if a table is booked for 6pm there isn't much character interaction Has anyone else had this problem? Would I be better making the reservation for 7pm?

We've always booked for 6 and never had a problem. We've usually got to our table and managed to get some food then the characters have appeared - well before 7 and it is usually quieter so the characters spend longer with you

Sorry, it was me who mentioned it to Buttercup - not that I've been I just recall reading somewhere v recently that someone had a slight issue with less characters v early in the evening but I can't recall whom It probably was nothing but I wanted to let her know just in case. I'd love to try Inventions (one day!) but I would be sad if I went early and found it too quiet with characters and then came back here and read someone had mentioned it before my trip and I hadn't seen if IYSWIM.

We've been to Inventions twice, albeit sadly not very recently ~ both times we went at 6pm which I loved as we were the first ones there which also meant we were the first ones at all that scrumptious food!!

We had great character interaction both times ~ I think we saw something like 7 or 8 characters each time. The last time DH had keyrings of Chip and Dale which delighted them but upset Donald and they were all fighting about it. I mean Chip, Dale and Donald ~ not DH! Then Donald decided to abduct my youngest DD and whisked her off to the California Grill!

I have very happy memories from here and hope you will have the same.

Thanks Elaine Think I must have dreamt about that bad review at Inventions as no-one has come forward I'm fairly sure it was Cyrano but I really can't find where he was on about it. Anyway, seems that 6 pm is a good time as quiet but plenty of characters about I'm sure if we ever get sorted for another trip we'll probably do about 6 pm ish as well...

You didnt dream it - Cyrano was disappointed by the lack of character interaction but it was a couple of yrs ago and recent reviews have been more positive. Its in the Inventions restaurant review thread - page 1

In the Disneyland Hotel. The characters vary but if you read some of the reviews in the restaurant sticky you will see some of the characters people have seen there
