Character Ice Cream

I thought I remember reading somewhere that in Epcot they do a Ice Cream Social with characters. It sounded like a good break. Does anyone have any information?? Is it good?? I cant seem to find anything on it.

Its the Ice Cream Social at the Garden Grill restaurant in Epcot. Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto are there. The price is $6.99 for the ice cream. And the seatings are between 3pm and 3:30pm

We've been twice and it's a great experience. The characters are very friendly and attentive.

I have done the ice cream social and it was a lot of fun. The ice cream was great and it was a good excuse for a 30 minute break late in the afternoon. I suggest getting the last possible seating. That way there are VERY few people there and you get almost exclusive access to the characters.

Thanks. I just made my PS for the Garden Grill Ice Cream Social. I am so so excited. This is a great comprise. My nephews love to play with the characters and go to those things. The only problem is the food is so so bad at those restaurants. It seems as soon as they put characters in a restaurant it gives disney the right to put out yuk food for high prices. I wouldnt mind paying high prices but I wish you could order off a menu for adults and maybe buffet for kids. I just can only eat so much of that food.
But ice cream is never bad.

You will love this!!! My DD and I did it our last visit and needless to say we are doing it again this upcoming visit! It is so worth the time and $. If you haven't been to this restaurant it's really cool. It rotates. Also, don't miss out on the ride down below. It actually goes underneath the restaurant.

I had a great time there in May ... The characters are fantastic and they had lots of time to spend with us because it wasn't very crowded. It is a lot of ice cream ... I didn't end up finishing mine
