Character help, please

DH and I are Disney-veterans, but don't have children yet. I am planning to take my good friend and her 4 year old daughter on their first Disney vacation in May 06. Since her daughter found out about the trip, all she can talk about is Dora the Explorer. I've heard of her, but I don't ever remember seeing anything Dora related in the parks. Does anyone know if you can find anything Dora-related anywhere? Maybe in MGM? She thinks she's going to meet her and she'll be crushed if we can't find her.

Yep, I just looked her up. She's on Nickelodeon, not Disney. Bummer. She'll just have to learn to love the mouse!! (like I do!!)

You are in luck! Since you are in NoVA, you don't need to go all the way to Florida to see Dora. She is at Kings Dominion!

Yea, but that would mean I would actually have to go to King's Dominion...

I didn't know Dora was at Universal. They also have Barney, Jimmy Neutron, the Rugrats, Shrek, Spider-Man, and Dr. Seuss (the Cat in the Hat ride is wonderful - especially the fish!, and the carousel is so Suessalific!).

I hope I don't get flamed for this, but I really think everyone (especially those with kids) should go to Universal at least once. The place is amazing, and kids adore it.

Yeah Dora is on Nickelodeon not the Disney Channel. We got Lindsay's pick with her at Universal Studios last summer

You and your friends should check out the Nickelodeon Hotel while in Orlando. It's not that far from Disney, we passed it on the ME bus on our way tot he resort. They have all the Nick characters like Dora and Spongebob.
