Character Greets at Epot

Is the Disney Visa character meet at Epcot different from the other Character Greet location? I saw that there is a FP+ option for the Character Spot at Epcot but we do have a Disney Visa so I am not sure if we should do both or not? Are the same characters usually at both if they are in different locations? In the past we have paid for Chef Mickeys to meet Minnie in her red dress-is she always available at Epcot? (That would save some $$$ to skip Chef Mickeys if she is always in Epcot)

They are two different places. At the disney visa area you never know which characters will be there. In November we had Mickey and goofy. The wait is usually only about 15-20 minutes.

Are the waits generally shorter at the Visa spot than the regular character spot? Is there just a sign with that days characters posted? We only plan to be at Epcot for a few hours so I am trying to somewhat make a touring plan!

Generally speaking g the lines are shorter, Lu's it has been our experience that this one of the few places you get more than one character per photo op. We had Mickey and Pluto together the last time we were there.

The Visa meet and greet is only available from 1pm-7pm. They will not tell you who is in the room. Typically, it is two characters, but sometimes you get lucky and have three. Much better meet than the public character spot. It is a private meet (meaning your party is the only one in the room), and you aren't rushed at all. We do it each day we are in EPCOT, usually three times each trip.

So-we would have to wait in line at the Visa meet first to see who we get and then try the regular spot if Minnie is not at the Visa meet? Is there a way to tell who is greeting at the regular character spot in Epcot for the day?
