Character goes crazy after tail pull! Not good for Disney

Disney declined to confirm or deny if it was the same person, they did not confirm.

Please, the girls are laughing in the video. The Dad is encouraging them to act like idots by laughing and not telling them to stop. In the video the rabbit has his hand on her arm and back, not her neck. She is laughing and wasn't afraid. He did push the other girl the other girl out of the way. Should he have done that? No, but I don't blame him.

The Dad is funny when he is interviwed, that "the rabbit is a professional and should know how to handle children"......Not stupid teens whos father encouraged them to disreguard the children that the rabbit was with so they could have a rude video. Lame people acting lame.

Sounds like Disney needs to add some more handlers for its characters so they stop getting harrased.

Yes, the character was way over the top. However, this is another example of kids showing a lack of respect for the person in the costume and the parent condoning the misbehaviour. How about a consequence for these girls who deliberately provoked him. Instead these girls are being portrayed as victims and will likely seek compensation.

It does seem odd to me that the girls are laughing and smiling the whole time.

I know the video is from a local TV station, but just FYI - The Daily Mail is not a well-respected news source and is not much more than a tabloid. Many Brits refer to it as The Daily Fail :upsidedow

If he actually cursed them, that is inappropriate and so is shoving them. However, it sounds to me like the family knew they were also in the wrong. "The Carlos family said they didn't report the incident at the time of their visit to the amusement park for fear they would be kicked out."

Not sure if this has been posted. Thought it was interesting. The girls where in the wrong but the character was way off in his response. This is the same character that was in the racial incident a few weeks ago. Interesting.

Oh please - the one girl in the video is 14 years old and her sister looks to be older. I just took my 14 year old granddaughter to Disney World and I'll tell you if she had done anything like that to a character (and she met quite a few), her parents would have hauled her butt back to the room and she would have remained there for at least the rest of the day. Heck, my five year old grandson behaved better than these two in the video.

But, the squeaky wheel gets the grease and now Disney will be poorer because of these two twits. Three twits because the father is one as well.

I see no reason to fault Disney for this. This is the product of idiotic people who somehow end up making even more idiotic people and passing on their immaturity. While I do think that the actor's words were harsh and certainly against Disney's values, the whole incident could have been avoided if those guests used basic common sense.

Sad to see that there are people like this, parents even, who encourage this type of behaviour.

Pathetic behavior out of teens who are old enough to treat someone with respect. "Ha ha ha.. look at me!" Yes.. ha ha ha look at you acting like a two year old.

Was the character over the top? Yes. However, if it were truly an issue they would have gone to someone right away and never mind the fear of being kicked out of the park. They knew they were wrong.

IMO what should have happened was the Rabbit calling security and having the girls removed from where he was. The fault lies with the girls and their parents. The only thing the rabbit did wrong was not notifying security and letting them handle it. I suppose he could have treated the girls as if they really are two, and explained to them that it isn't polite or nice to pull on his tail, and if they didn't stop security would make mommy and daddy take them back to their room.

Even though the girls provoked the rabbit, did "Disney" do wrong in this case? Absolutely. The cast member should be fired.

Buuuuut, a lawsuit? No, I don't think this warrants that kind of reaction. As noted, it's not like the girls were crying after being threatened by the giant soft bunny.

I cannot believe that father was laughing while his teenagers did that.
I wonder how many times they did something before their father decided to start filming with his camera.

I swear there are more and more stupid lawsuits every day.
Nothing like being compensated for doing something wrong. :rolleyes2

Reason #431 that I will not in an amusement park.

People are jerks and the pay isn't good enough to put up with crap.

Well, I think they were both in the wrong. The family was obviously trying to get a reaction but what in the world made the CM think it was ok to put their hands on a guest in that way? Did he hurt them? No, but he should have known better. They really shouldn't put CMs in suits that can't handle those kinds of things. Don't they have handlers anyway? Have the handlers call security and remove them from the area. Simple as that. I hope they don't get anything out of this law suit but they really need to make sure their CMs know how to handle situations like that better.

I'm sorry but no matter what the girls did (baring physically injuring him), grabbing and cursing at them is inexcusable. While the girls are definitely not innocent, you have to remember who is the adult.

The girls' father was also an adult and cheered them on like a child at a fight scene. I agree with you, but this is why the whole thing is ridiculous. Had the parent in the situation actually been a parent, the actor would not have been driven to do what he did.

I would not fire the Cast Member in this case. I might reassign him. To not work in a bunny suit :rotfl:

These people are suing? They have little to no case at all. I wish the friend of the White Rabbit hadn't lost it on these nitwits. The father should be ashamed of himself acting like that.

This is crazy. Its amazing how kids have no discipline or respect. I am 19 and I know if I was that age trying to pull that I would of gotten a whooping. I agree the Character shouldn't have done that, but where was the character escort during this. I was a character escort at the Gaylord and we were always told to look from every angle and keep our eyes open for little kids or parents wanting to do stuff to the costume. Whatever happen to PROTECT THE COSTUME.

Little more than a blood-in-the-water reaction. Disney and its billions are a lawsuit magnet.

I could not see the video, only the still shots. You can't tell from the story how many times the girls harrassed the rabbit before the dad started filming.
I would not be surprised to hear that they had done it several times before the rabbit finally reacted.

I agree.
The parent was acting as juevenile as the girls (even though he is technically the adult and should have been stopping them, not enouraging them, they were old enough to know not to do what they did).
Since I can't see the video, I don't really know if the rabbit reacted like the family said he did. It doesn't look from the pictures like he was holding the girl in a way that scared her - she actually looked pretty pleased with herself.
