we are heading to SoCal for Easter. unfortunately, Disneyland is not an option for this trip.

I'm hoping I can talk my family into a character breakfast/dinner while we are in the area, so that I can get a much needed Disney fix.

Q#1: Where do you park if you are just dining?
Q#2: Do they charge for a two yr old?
Q#3: Has anything changed with character dining since September?

You can park at the hotel you will be eating at. They offer validation!

No, under 3 is not charged.

Not that I am aware of.

The only character DINNER dining option is Goofy's Kitchen at the DLH. Each of the three Disney hotels have a character breakfast.

1. Park at the hotel that the character meal you will be visiting is in. I believe you will be able to get free parking for several hours with validation from the restaurant.
2. 2 year old should be no charge just like park tickets.
3. Have not been recently so can't answer that question. I will comment that Goofy's Kitchen is different than it used to be. It now has a set rotation of only Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, and Chip and Dale I believe. I think this change took place over a year ago though, so you probably know this already.

Of the hotel character meals, I would totally recommend Surf's Up with Mickey at the Paradise Pier. We found the food to be good, and the interaction was wonderful. And it's the only character meal with Mickey!

We liked Storytellers better than Goofy's Kitchen, but if it were me and we're just popping in for a meal to get some Disney magic...I'd also recommend going to the only one where you find Mickey. i.e the one at Paradise Pier.

I was considering either Surfs Up or Goofy's Kitchen. I wasn't happy with Storytellers. If I can talk my niece and her two little ones into joining us, we'll definitely do Surf's Up so the girls can meet Mickey and Minnie. Otherwise, I'll leave it up to my daughter.
