Character Dining Swap--ARRIVING HOME!!

I hope I didnt do anything wrong...I didnt know we were supposed to be doing certain colors..I have already completed my 2 groups already.

For chef Mickey i used-red,black,white--these turned out very cute
crystal palace-green,orange,yellow,black...

Am I in trouble I would hate to make new things all over agian. I am sorry If i did anything wrong this is my first swap and I dont know sorry let me know I feel bad now. But I also love my items that I came up with.

There are no color requirements- we have had a couple of swaps where there are color requirements- they are posted when you sign up. The one I did was a resort swap and that was so the items would match- I did not require specific brands of paper just certain colors. We have had bazzill swaps here in the past but that was before my time.

That sounds awesome! I did something similar in the Eats Swap last year. I had LTT character meal, and I made Goofy in his colonial attire. I would love to get a peek at your Minnie now. :flower3:

I was looking through my photos to see if I had one with Minnie's shoes in it. Can't fine one, but man, I wish they would bring back that character meal. So much fun!

That does sound great! I can't wait to see them! Traci, whatever you did I bet is awesome! Can't wait to see your goodies too!

I forgot to say that I haven't started this swap yet, but next week on Saturday, I am going to my friends crop. It is from 9am-9pm. So I hope I will able to get a ton done & maybe then after I will be able to actually scrapbook & put some pieces together from past swaps....I'm totally excited!:lmao:

i'm not the hostess but i don't think you did anything wrong at all. chef mickeys are all those colors. i think it's all up to the person making their stuff to decide which colors to use. i'm sure it will be fine. like i said this is just my opinion. i'm sure Brooke will come on and let us know!:goodvibes

Thanks so much I was starting to get worried I would have to do them all over agian. :scared1: I really put a lot of time and effort into them. I just realized there is another Traci on here too. Funny I never see anyone with the name spelled like mine and we are on this swap together. Anyway thanks for the encouragment I needed it. Have a great day.:yay:

So here are the pictures of my finished Liberty Tree Tavern dining swap pieces. Since this is my first swap, please let me know if I need to embellish more etc. or if I need to change anything. I hope everyone in my group likes what I made. I made an extra one (before Susie had to drop out and we had 5 in our group) so if anyone wants my extra one maybe we could trade for something... I'm in desperate need of Kim Possible stuff. I did an extra set for our lovely hostess too.

Here ya go:

2 photo mats are double matted and inked with green and golden brown ribbons on the side.

The journaling box is on top of 2 mats --it took me forever to hand cut around all those mats. It's chalked for a little dimension too. Not 3x3 though. It's more like 2 3/4 x 4 inches. Is that okay?

The Minnie paper piecing measures 3 inches wide x 3 1/4 inches tall. After I made them, I read somewhere on here (not sure where) that paper piecings shouldn't be less than 4 inches. It was too late by then. I can mount her to a large tag though to give her a little more size if need be. Honest opinions please. This is only my second from-scratch paper piecing.

Traci

Well from One Traci to another..Ha ha just had to say that. ANyway I am not in your group but I love your minnie. I would love to have one of those in my collection so I am sure other will too. We are new and learning the rules..everyone is so nice here. Hope everyone enjoys your stuff. I have also completed mine as well.

Have a good night.

Very cute Traci! I wish I was in that group, but I never made it to that character meal.:sad1:

I'm not the hostess for this one, but the journal box should be fine. It has plenty of square inch room for writing.

I think your paper piecing should be okay too. I don't think SIOH will want to put her on a tag.

They look great. :thumbsup2

I've never been to that meal either, but I love your Minnie too! Keep it just the way it is.

Traci

That is too cute! I love it. It looks fine exactly the way it is - most hostesses prefer creativity over rigid guidelines.

Great job, glad you found us (and that I get one of them!!!)

mycutiepatooties- Your pieces are amazing! I love them and am very lucky to be getting them. You have embellished well. As was said above- creativity is more important than rigid guidelines. The paper pieciing size has been around since January only- it is more that you can't make a little layered strawberry and call it a paper piecing. Your piecing is wonderful and I am amazed you could make it that small.

Ok, sorry to have been MIA!! I was off from work on Friday, so we've been Easter-ing all weekend!!

Traci--let me ditto what everyone has said!! No color requirements--I'm sure your stuff will be AWESOME!!

mycutiepatooties--WOW!! Love that Minnie!! You did a great job!! Leave her as-is!!

Ok, catinthehat35 has had to drop out due to some personal stuff. Hugs and pixie dust to her!! Does anyone want her spots? Let me know if you do, and we can fill those groups again!

They are:

B1--CRT breakfast (taking her out would leave the group @ 3 if we can't find an angel)
I--'Ohana breakfast--FILLED

Anyone want either of these??

OMG those Minnies are SO cute!!!! I was originally thinking of doing red, white and blue for my LTT group, but now I'm thinking brown and green like mycutiepatooties. What is everyone else in group N thinking colorwise?
