Character Dining Question

My niece desperately wants to do a character dining meal for dinner during our WDW visit this July/Aug. We will be on the dining plan. I've been to Chef Mickey's once and wasn't that impressed with the service. Waited a long time to be seated for dinner (at least 45mins - 1 hr.) with Priority Seating. If we do a character meal I would like to try somewhere else then Chef Mickey's. My niece will be 8 by then ( her birthday is a few days before we leave for the trip). I've thought about 1900 Park Fare. Any comments or suggestions?? We will definately want to do a dinner as we are not really big breakfast eaters.

We love 1900 Fare. Good array of characters and the food is very good. We do the breakfast one with Mary Poppins. DS9 is starting to get too old for them, but he doesn't mind the pics.

I would like to see a Villian CB!

i think it depends on her favorite characters/food choices.... for pooh lovers CP is a must... princess you would need to do somewhere else and mickey, etc

Yeah I've heard that 1900 Fare at GF might have better food but you can't beat the characters at Chef Mickey's.
If you're breakfast people, I highly recommend CP.

Thanks for the comments, this dinner is strictly for her. I'm traveling with my sister, 2 nephews (13 & 3) and the 71/2 yr old girl. The 13 yr old loves Sci-Fi. That's his pick. My pick was Ohana's, My sister's WCC, she wanted to the character dinner. The 3yr old is just so happy to go he won't care where and what we do!
