Character Dining- I'm Torn- Help

In trying to schedule meals etc. I am torn on which to do, or if we should do one at all.

My husband insist if we do do one that is has to be Chef Mickey's, but I was thinking Crystal Palace would be very exciting for him.

We do have the dining plan, but my DS (3 1/2) doesn't really get into the Disney Characters- he is a NOGIN kid- no matter how much I try to put on Disney, he insits on the other channel- so would it even be worth the time.

I know I sound skeptical- so I need advice- I don't want to miss out on an amazing memory for my little one.

i would pick one w/the "classic" characters such as mickey and friends. therefore, it would have to be chef mickey. not that pooh and friends aren't classic, but mickey is disney.

WE enjoy both! Its a tough pick but I think I would also choose chef mickeys for the classic disney characters!

best characters would be Chef....but the best food, by far, was Crystal. I have been seen a buffet like that before.....

When I brought my son to Disney he was 2 months shy of his 4th birthday we went to both Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. He enjoyed Crystal Palace much better. He was afraid of Mickey. He only liked Chip and Dale and Pluto.

He loved the characters of the 100 acre woods.

I am planning my trip now. My son you will be 8 has no interest in going to Crystal Palace. He told me he is too old for that, but wants to go to Chef Mickey's.

If food counts for anything, I would choose Crystal Palace. I am speaking of dinner. have been to both this year, and the food at Chef Mickey's was bad, as was the service. We really enjoyed Crystal Palace however.
