Character Dining, Get Away Today?

Is buying the vouchers from Get Away Today my best option price wise? I'd love to prepay everything so when I found out I could buy just the vouchers I feel like I need to jump on it.

It includes tax and tip so this seems like a good deal... however, I wanted to "check with the experts" before I clicked submit order.

*I have used the search option on the forum to find out but everything seems to be outdated or not give me the whole answer I'm looking for. Sorry if this is a repeat question. If you have a link I'd be happy to follow it.

B= Adult Breakfast
C= Child
L= Adult Lunch
D = Adult Dinner
When the C is below the L or D that is the childs price for the L & D.


Here is a little chart I made a few months ago. The prices are based on peek pricing, but those can change at any time.
I found that the only time you actually loose $ with the vouchers are for Children going to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast and dinner and adults going to GK for breakfast.

I just got tired of posters stating that the vouchers would not save you $$. In most cases they do.

They include tax and tip. Plus admission to the character breakfast. You still have to call and make your reservations via disney but you will be pre-paid.

I think you just print out the voucher and take it to the ticket booth or to the actual breakfast. I've not figured that part out yet but assume the voucher will say when I print it out.

The voucher cost is the last figure for each in my chart. There are either regular or premium (AG or GK) vouchers.
With GAT, you will visit a ticket booth during your stay, and they print the voucher for you that you take to the restaurant.

I thought I would figure it out closer to the day I call to make reservations. Can I just put the first day we are in disney instead of the exact date?

I dont think so we used them our 2012 trip and i dont recall having to put in a specific date...maybe a date range?

Here is the only place I disagree. Minnie's is buffeteria. At the other character meals, your server brings drinks, brings needed items. There is no server. At most they clear the table. This is not a 15% tipped position. I am the FIRST to tip (and tip well.) But Minnie's, we have never had a server do more than come and take a plate away. And the register does not automatically add the tip, as Goofy's and Surfs Up do, as they told me "No tip is required as there are no servers." I don't think the amount above the $16 would be passed on to the server in this case. I would double check, as you may think it is (and it isn't based on what I was told.)

Can anyone confirm that these prices are indeed the current prices for character meals this summer? Trying to decide about vouchers vs. discounted GCs.
