We are planning to visit disneyworld next may and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for character meals for both sexes. Our five year old daughter would LOVE something with princesses, but I'm not sure how my three year old son would like that. Is there one that would suit both?

You'd be surprised about your ds and princesses! I went last year and my ds was 3 and dd was 1 and my son fell head over heals in LOVE with the princesses. With that aside you can do pretty much any other meal that is not princess specific. Most other have chip 'n dale, donald, mickey and friends, pooh and friends. I'm sure any of those would be fine for both of them.

There isn't any character dining with any jungle book characters are there? Both of my kids would love that!

there is a character meal at DHS that has preschool characters-Hanny Manny, I think? Chef Mickey's is great for boys and girls-Mickey,Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale. It is a yummy buffet for breakfast or dinner.

My boys really enjoyed the CRT breakfast...the princesses really know how to interact w/boys (the Fairy Godmother too!) and they loved the swords!

The best food is at Crystal Palace w/very friendly Pooh characters (we met Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger). Chef Mickeys is a bit hyper!!

This year we are trying the Princess Breakfast in Epcot. I also want to try the Donald Breakfastasaurus at AK.

Decide if you want to eat in a park or resort and that will make your decision a bit easier. I find it a bit easier to eat in the park, unless we are already staying at that resort.

I have twin girls age 5, and they love the mickey characters just as much as the princesses. A favorite of theirs is Chef Mickeys, I think because of the song they play and it really gets everyone psyched! Crystal Palace is also fun and has the pooh characters. Not sure where you are staying, but there is a mickey character meal at Beach Club where they dress in beach attire, which is cute. At Poly, there is a character breakfast with Lilo & Stitch (I think??) characters.

We did the Norway breakfast with the Princesses this year (for DD aged 6) . My son was 20 months at the time and they all went mad for him but the interaction with the older boys I noticed was lovely too. What about the 1900 Park Faire dinner? There is Cinderella but your son will appreciate the step sisters - they were really funny with the gents!

My ds was one week short of 3 when we were there last month and he loves meeting the princesses, and at times, he seems more excited than my dd to see them! One lady told us...18 years from now, when he looked at those pictures, he is going to question us "What were you thinking????". LOL

Liberty Tree Tavern has Minnie, Goofey, Chip and Dale and Pluto. My 3 kids loved it (1 girl 2 boys). I didn't think Minnie was at Chef Mickeys but I could be wrong:confused3

Yes, that one is the play 'n dine at the hollywood and vine, in Hollywood studios. I believe it's little einsteins too.

My ds is 6 and still likes the princess meals - they treat him very special and he gets a kick out of that! He likes to tell his sister how pretty she looks when she's all dressed up like a princess!

Both my kids ds6 and dd4 LOVE play N dine at hollywood and vine. Last time we went (last Aug) it was Jojo and Goliath and Leo and June from Einsteins - not sure if they've changed Jojo or not.

My kids also love Chef Mickey.

We went in August 07 and June 08, and both time, Jojo and Goliath and Leo and June were there.

When we went to the Princess breakfast in Norway last June, my ds (then three) wasn't sure about the princesses at first. Then Aurora gave him a kiss on the cheek, which left a huge lipstick print. Well, after all of the laughs he got out of his family for that, it became a game. By the time our last princess (Snow White) came to the table, he JUMPED up into his chair to claim his third lipstick print. :lovestruc It was hysterical - and he loved it. The princesses really do know how to interact with little boys.

My kids LOVE Chef Mickey's. We're also trying Crystal Palace for the first time, and the character meal at the Garden Grill over in Epcot. We weren't as impressed with the Hollywood & Vine Playhouse Disney meal, but I really think it was due to the fact that we weren't impressed by the food. Also, no one was excited about seeing the characters except for the kids - none of the adults besides dh and I even knew who they were!

My friend said that when Belle kissed her little boy at CRT she cried! So sweet.

No dining with them but we saw Jungle Book characters in AK in Africa near where the kids can play the drums.

When we went in May with DS 5 and DD 4, we went to Liberty Tree Tavern (Goofy, Pluto, Minnie), Princess breakfast in Norway, Hollywood and Vine (Little Einsteins, JoJo and Goliath), Crystal Palace (Pooh, Tigger, etc), and Cinderella's Royal Table. At the end of our trip I asked him which was his favorite meal. I was expecting him to say the one at Liberty Tree Tavern since he LOVES Goofy. He said that Cinderella's castle was favorite. I was shocked. He loved it because he got a sword. He thinks it is a real sword, and asked if we could eat there again the next time we go.

We really liked the Park Fare breakfast. Tigger, Pooh, Mary Poppins, and Alice and the Mad Hatter. I think it would be nice for boys or girls and the food is really good.
