I'm new and looking for information on the character to guest ratio for character dining - Crystal Palace. Where can I find this information? Or can someone share it with me?

From the Unofficial Guide,

Crystal Palace, Dinner- Character to guest ratio 1: 89, Breakfast 1: 67.

Welcome to the Disboards!:)

Wow - that was fast thanks! Is 1-67 good, average or bad in your opinion. My son LOVES pooh so we really want to go that location. Thanks again.

If he loves Pooh, then that's the place to go. :thumbsup2 We're trying Crystal Palace for the first time in Dec- most people seem to like it.

As far as the ratio goes, Liberty Tree Tavern and Cinderella's Royal Table are better with 1: 26 and JoJo at Hollywood and Vine is worse at 1: 71, so I guess the ratio is about average.

When we went to the Crystal Palace this past September, the characters where really interactive. Tina was a waitress and she told us how often you can expect them at the table.

Even when they weren't at our table you could see them everywhere. I think it helps that Pooh has a good size bunch of friends. They did a good job keeping them spaced out and moving.

Well, it's a large resturant. There are things that depend on how long it takes them to get around to the table. How many people, and if there is one of the celebrations. These might make it longer for the characters to come by. However, CP is one of my favorites. I eat there every trip.

We did like the CP food, but the bfast we were there, we sat on the right side and am not joking when I say that there were zero characters on our side for 1 hour and 5 min. I guess they were all on the other side at the same time. WHen Pooh did FINALLY arrive to our side, everyone was SO peeved that people were trying to drag poor Pooh to them so he got out of his path. Our waitress was so nice and made sure the handler person kept Pooh on track.

It was very frustrating. I did nicely speak to the manager, that they should have been more spread out, a few on each side etc. and he was sympathetic (and insisted we take a family fast pass for any ride in the park, even though we were literally on our way home).

I would guess I'd try it again, but we much prefer LTT b/c of the high rate of interaction. And, I do hate I feel this way, but it's hard to forget, especially when I see the high ratio number!

Sorry to hear about your experience. I don't want that to happen to us.

What day of the week and time did you go?

We eat breakfast there once every trip and have never experienced a time when all the characters weren't able to stop by. I think in a typical trip to CP, the characters will get by your table at least once and there will be 2 little character parades around the restaurant for the kids (and some adults) to join if they like.

You can also see Pooh at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast.;)

Thanks regarding Pooh at 1900 Park Fare. I didn't know that.

Any past experience with 1900 Park Fare. Character to guest ratio, price, experience, etc.

We lOVED Crystal Palace (we did it twice)! :goodvibes That ratio seems high, however, there is plenty of interaction with the characters. They rotate around and are loveable. The buffet has numerous food choices and the food is very good.
