Can anyone comment how the character breakfast is at the Tusker House. We read the menu in the DISboards which is what persuaded us to make a reservation. I was just wondering if anyone's been there and how was the experience?

I haven't eaten there yet. But I am June 17th!! I can't wait (really looking forward to seeing Daisy in the safari dress).

We ate there, the food was good but the character interaction was so-so. There were many side rooms and it seemed that our area was ignored for the most part. If you were on the other side of the room you had plenty of interaction. So if you go, get there early! We had a 9:05a.m. ADR, we checked in 15 minutes early and they sat us at 9:15.

We are trying it in April, the menu looks so good

I've had better interactions later in the ADR, so I am eating there at 10:30am.

We were there last week and really enjoyed it. ADR was for 1030 and took 20m to seat us. Before seating they take your photo and then during the meal come by and try to sell it to you. Didn't like that.

Food was delicious! They changed over to lunch while we there and OMG it was sooo good.

The characters were OK, took a little while to make it around but that was OK, we lingered over our meal. If seated in the back you can get cornered during the dancing.

Overall I'd had a great meal and a pleasant time. I'd definitely do it again.

We were here for b-fast in Dec.

The character interaction was wonderful!!! They stopped by twice, posed for pics and spent a decent amount of time at the table.

The food was excellent and the Jungle Juice was the BEST!!! :thumbsup2 I wish I had the recipe, I would drink it every morning.

We were there last month...we even got seated about 15 min early, the food was great. The character interaction was great, actually almost too much. My DD5 freaked out because right when we walked in and were trying to get settled, Goofy was right there meeting us and he actually scared her. It would have been nice to have gotten actually seated at the table before we were bombared with characters. We saw all the characters twice, which I guess is good, because that way I did get a picture of her with Goofy, because she would have nothing of the sorts in the beginning.

It would be good if we knew what time your reservations were for.

I am thinking a later time would be better as everyone wants the first one-- I would think that everyone arriving at the same time for the first time kinda gets ripped off as this is many people being seated.

We did the breakfast at Chef Mickeys and were seated in the side room. Sat there for 1 1/2 hours and not one character came around.

We were there last week as well and had the basically the same experience, except for the characters. They were in the room as soon as we sat down and we got to see them immediately. They came by our table twice.

This was a great character meal and we liked this heads and tails over Crystal Palace.

When did you eat there? Was this for the new character buffet at Tusker House, or, the old Donald's breakfast? Tusker House doesn't have that many side rooms, - that's one thing we hated about the old Donald's breakfast as it had a horrible layout. Have they changed the layout of Tusker House since becoming a character meal?

Thanks, Tiger :)

We ate there 2/1.

We had a 10:30 reservation but checked in at 10 and were seated in about 10minutes.

Food was good and a large variety.

Character interaction was fine. They looked cute in their safari outfits! We saw every character, ate breakfast and were out of there very quickly. I did not notice a bunch of small side rooms but we were seated close to the buffet so maybe I just didn't notice. They do a dance party type thing similar to chef mickeys.

We would definitely go back!
