Character Dining and Photos with Maxpass

We have planned a character dining breakfast at Paradise Pier for the morning of October 12th. We are going to the Halloween party that night. My question is do I have to activate my ticket in the Park for max pass to link to breakfast pictures? We are planning on having Maxpass for every day and it’s included with the party ticket. Just not sure if it will link together where we won’t have activated it in the Park that day yet.
