OK, so I've just booked Princess Storybook Akershus LUNCH for our first full day at WDW.
I then wanted to book the Garden Grill for the next week but was told that they do not do LUNCH there anymore :sad1:

So we want to book one more character meal, preferably Mickey/Minne but we really want to do another LUNCH......

Any more recommendations please??

well chef mickey's only has breakfast and dinner....(except during free dining, when they added lunch on )...

the chystal palace at the magic kingdom has lunch (and breakfast and dinner) and has the best food of all of the character meals, but it's only the pooh characters (pooh, tigger, eeyore, piglet)..

Have you read about Cape May Cafe I think characters appear there sometimes?

Thanks for your replies :thumbsup2

I've had another look at the Disney site and I feel that I am just going to be booking another character meal for the sake of it as nothing else really appeals :confused3

We did the Crystal Palace last time but our LO's are not really into Pooh and more......

Do Univeral/IOA so any themed lunches at all?? :confused3
Is there anywhere else I haven't thought of?? :confused3

Our girls really like the Princesses (we covered that with our Akershus booking), they also really like Nemo, Mickey & Minnie and Cat in the Hat........

the cape may cafe at the beach club resort has a very nice character breakfast...
I think the characters are Minnie, Goofy and maybe Donald (or chip and dale?) i can't remember...

it's much smaller than at the chystal palace, so not as noisy and crazy...

but they only have a character breakfast..

the dinner at chef mickey's isn't bad - and it has micky, goofy, and pluto (and others as well i think)..

also the dinner at 1900 park fare (grand floridian) is cute with cinderella and her evil step sisters...

There's a character meal at Gulliver's Grill at The Swan with Timon and Pumba. We haven't done it yet but I always think it sounds like fun! I believe it's Goofy and Pluto at breakfast at the weekends but Timon and Pumba for dinner on week nights. Some info here.

There's a brilliant character breakfast at the Confisco Grill in Universal's Islands of Adventure. We loved it there in 2005. A little bit of info here about it. At the time they had the Cat in the Hat characters, Spiderman and a few others. Great fun and great food!

And as Disneyholic mentioned, Chef Mickeys and Cape May are good options! We enjoyed both of those.

:thumbsup2 we have been, the character interaction was brilliant !

Does DLP do character dining? We are going next year and I'm hoping to have breakfast with Mickey or Minnie if that's possible? :goodvibes

Yes Cafe Mickey and Lucky Nugget are character dining.

Also Auberge De Cendrillion is a Princess character meal.

Inventions in the Disneyland hotel is also a character buffet and the food is amazing, would recommend it.

Thats great :goodvibes I know my parents were going to keep it a secret that they were booking for me to have breakfast / dinner with the charachters from me, but thats impossible :rotfl:
