Character Confusion?

we will be visiting with my girls ages 2 and 5 and I wondered if anyone has experience with their kids seeing the characters, (more so the princesses,) in multiple locations obviously being played by different people, and been confused about it.

For instance, I am trying to decide if doing the Akershus breakfast is worth it if we will also be meeting most of the same princesses the day before at MK. Not only "is it worth it?" but I so desire to keep the meet and greet experiences as magical as they can be and would hate to ruin it by sparking questions of "why does this Cinderella look different than the one I met yesterday?" Etc.

Has anyone had experience with this??!

Well, I have taken several children to Disney and even tho we have many photos taken with the characters, the only comment was," I already have their autograph." We would stand in line and get pictures because many of the characters were dressed differently when we saw them..

I know this won't help... but I took the Keys To the Kingdom Tour a few years back and learned that Disney actually has an answer for this question. Unfortunately, I forget what it is... hopefully a CM will be able to tell. You could always stop by City Hall and ask as the tour starts from there, they should know the answer.

We took DD at 3 and at 6 and she never questioned it. We saw Belle at Akershus and also at ETWB but she never noticed they were different. But we did meet Cinderella at the dinner at 1900 Park Fare and saw the same girl as Cinderella at MK. Honestly, at their ages they may not notice either. As long as the princesses are in the classic dress, I don't think they will be able to tell.

The answer you are looking for is that the characters are drawn a little differently every single day!



Personally, I find that most of the time they don't tend to notice. After all, they are eating breakfast with Ariel

It's hard enough for *ME* to tell the difference between one and the next unless I see pictures of them side-by-side or something (it's amazing how similar two people can look with a wig and the right makeup). The only thing that might "give them away" is if they tell Cinderella something one day, and then ask her about it the next, but I'm sure they have an answer for that, too.

At 2 and 5, they shouldn't notice. But I have to say, sometimes the same princess looks completely different in 2 different locations or from day to day. DD noticed when she was 6 and 8 and I just kind of brushed it off.

My daughter has photos with two different Jasmines and even now when she looks at the pictures she doesn't notice.

Thank you guys so much! I know I am not giving enough credit to the beautiful belief and fun that children contain. I just got nervous when my oldest recently mentioned that she knew Mickey was a person in a costume because he didn't talk. Broke my heart. I want to them to believe as long as they can!

Wow, how did they pull that off!? That's awesome. Ariel is a favorite around here so I'm sure we'll see her multiple times
