Great Thread...Thanks for the info. But I have a question for someone who has used this service. I want to get this for my friends the night before we leave for the World in 10 days. I was going to have it call thier cell phones. I was reading the directions and it says that when they call, you have to press "1" within 40 seconds of answering. Does it tell you to do this (seems like it is set up to call your home phone where the person sending it will answer and know what to do). I just want to be sure that it will give instructions to whoever answers the phone. Thanks again for the info!

If I remember correctly it does tell you to push a button to start the call. So they will have no problem if they have no idea it is coming. I can't remember what it says, I think it says something about Disney, so they won't think it is a telemarketer and hang up.

If your houses are like ours, make sure you answer the phone and can control the pressing 1. My DD would more than likely hang up. We had Cinderella call last trip and will do the same this time for DD and Grandma ( who wil probably hang up )

Enjoy them it really got us started for a long travel day.

When I tried this yesterday, it was linked through the Disney.com homepage. Now I can't get it to work. It doesn't work through Google either. I was excited, now I don't think it will happen if they don't get the link fixed!!

Ok. If you go to disneyonline.com and choose characters from the monorail on top, then select princesses, a menu pops up which shows a picture for disney enchanted calls. You can pick from the princesses, mickey, pooh and tigger.

If you go to the disney website and then entertainment, then go to the official disney princess link under dvd and video, there you will find the enchanted calls. It works fine from there. Since it is directly through disney's website....I'm guessing this is legit.

THIS link isn't even working!!!! I'm SO frustrated! I really want to do this but can't get it to work. It keeps saying "cannot find server". Is anyone else having this problem???!!! Or is it just me???

I am not having a problem with either way. I get to the Enchanted Call selections. Not sure what I can suggest, just wanted you to know the link is ok. Good luck!

Mickey would be a challenge....but if you want a princess I'd just get a friend with a pleasant voice to make the call - that way it isn't just a recording. Again, Snow White is the toughest but just about any woman could tell my DD that she was Cindy and it would work. And then the "princess" could call the child by name!
