1900 Fayre is a lovely breakfast but much more sedate
Chef Mickey's for fun every time
It's the one meal my DD always asks about when we mention Disney.
I think we British have a tendancy to be a bit too stuffy when it comes to kids. Too much 'kids should be seen and not heard' - that includes me at times too (before anyone grumbles at me
)

I agree Alison.

We Brit's do tend to moan ! That's why I love Disney so much. You can really let your hair down and enjoy yourself adults and children alike. The only piece and quiet I got on my trip to Disney was when my OH an I stepped outside our room at night to have a sneaky cigarette (now ex-smokers gave up at the New Year, we are now those reformed smokers you hear about that can't stand anything about cigs but used to smoke like chimney's) all you could hear was the sounds of what I think were crickets. I think a Disney holiday suited us down to the ground though, cause we went away four times last year and we kept on moaning about being bored. In fact our Disney holiday's have been the only holidays we have been on where we didn't hear once off our DD 'I'm boreddddddddddd" I used to be able to sit around a pool all day but not now. The occasional day is all right. I think it's true what some people say once you've been on holiday to Disney not many places can compete. Look at me now moaning I'd better stop.

Do you know of any other lively character meal venues that you can recommend ?

Also any to recommend at Disneyland Paris we are going to go for Halloween.

The design of Chef Mickey's seems to make all sounds echo and sound hollow, it's so barn like.
As for Disneyland Paris, I can thoroughly recommend Inventions at the disneyland Hotel. The quality of food here is superb, the setting well done and plenty of characters.

Wow, Disney at Halloween, now you're making me jealous
The only other character meal I'd recommend is HollyWood and Vine where we went for my 40th but they don't have it any more.
CRT was almost impossible to get (although we managed it with the help of friends in Florida) and, quite honestly, disappointing We didn't find the food particularly good and felt rushed - maybe it was an 'off day'.
1900 Park Fayre was fun with Alice and the Mad Hatter but not a patch on Chef Mickeys' IMHO Food was good though.
Donald's sounds worth trying but we don't stand a chance on that one if it means an early booking to benefit best
Well done with smoking Rachel. My DH gave up in Jan but it was a case of having to for surgery - we still have the duty frees for when he changes his mind Best send this before he reads it !

We were going to go to Florida in October but DD is only having a week off and don't fancy getting fined so we are going to go to Disneyland Paris instead. Then Florida in the April for a fortnight.

We went to Floida at the end of August last year but I could hardly breathe. It wasn't the heat but the air humidity. I loved it when it rained cause it seemed to get better after.

What about all of those 'electrical storms' as Disney call them (thunder and lightning) amazing, never seen anything like it. That rain bounced off the floor and rebounded back up past my knee. Never seen rain like it.

We were there in August too
The storms were amazing. Eve loved running around in the rain getting absolutely plastered with everyone thinking she was crackers
'Fraid we're risking the fine in Jan - well, Eve is only 5 and we've just had one heck of a year, even up to now
We're taking our trip into Feb half term and doing 6 nights Orlando, 5 nights Clearwater and 6 nights back in Orlando at Coronado Springs.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the days we're in Clearwater? We normally 'do' 2 holidays a year if we can but this will be the earliest DH will be allowed to fly following surgery so we're doing 2 in 1. We decided we'd rather wait and go to Florida again than have a holiday in the UK and risk the weather.

Sorry to hear about your OH, I hope you all have a lovely time, I am sure it will be worth the wait.

We got drenched coming out of Animal Kigdom waiting for the car park shuttle thing to take us back to our car. You can tell us Brit's are used to it all the Brit's were laughing their heads off and everyone else was grimacing. We looked like drowned rats.

No way I forgot about those plastic macks. We had yellow ones and our daughter had a red one.

We even brought them back with us and a load of other silly things just beacause they 'were from WDW' mad eh!
