Thanks for the info, i'm staying at the Holiday Inn so i'd be paying £50 for myself, partner and 4 year old - a tad expensive for brekky i think.

It may be expensive but it is worth it. The character interaction is great and the food was good too. We have to pay for 4 adults and 2 children when we go and even with the annual pass discount it's expensive but it is worth it for hot food. (we usually stay at Explorers and the breakfast is not that good)

Also your 4 year old will be excited to have the characters come to him/her without 50 or more other people pushing in on him/her in the park where they are no lines for characters at some places. If he/she likes and is not afraid of characters that is. I think it's a great way to start the day before going to the parks....

Trotter, have you considered either a character lunch or dinner at Cafe Mickey, rather than breakfast??

Not really, can you recommend, and what sort of price would i be expected to pay for lunch or dinner?
Only booked the hol last week, and after looking through the tips on here - we quite fancied the character tea at the Plaza, and a meal where my 4 year little girl can meet the princess's (Auberge de Cendrillion?)

It would be a bit expensive for all my party to do it, But does anyone know whether my 3 & 2 year old grandsons would have to pay? It might be a good idea for a couple of us to take them there while the rest of our crowd have a lay in bed. I don't think my DS13 and grandson aged 14 will be too bothered, but I could be wrong!!

I'm sure you'll only have to pay for the 3 year old as under 3's eat free at buffet meals.
