Being our first cruise, I think I may have missed the pre-booking window for stuff. Combined with the lowest status.

We have a 4 night cruise in a few weeks. I am trying to get at least some character stuff booked. Preferably breakfast and/or meet-n-greet. But everything for every day is showing sold out.

So, is it really sold out, or is this something you can only book once on board? I saw an older article saying that you can pre-book on 7-night or longer cruises. But it didnt mention shorter cruises.

Thanks all for the great info. I love these boards.

Yes, they can be pre-booked on all cruises.

There is no character breakfast on 4 night cruises. The activities you can pre-book are the Princess Gathering and Frozen Meet & Greet. It's quite possible for them to be "sold out". It's a short cruise and there are lots of guests who want to do it.

There are lots of unticketed meet & greets with the other characters, however. Just stand in line, as in the parks.

Thanks. Are there stand-by or day-of availability for these meet-n-greets? Or am I S.O.L?

For the ticketed ones? Maybe. You can check at the Port Adventures desk if they have a wait list for cancellations. Or, I've read that hanging around at the entrance to the ticketed event sometimes (not very often) leads to being allowed in.

Sadly, since the tickets are free, people who book them and then opt not to go don't always return them or make a formal cancellation.

My last cruise on-line it stated "sold out". Go to guest services immediately when you arrive only the ship and they usually can get you in the meet and greets.

Yes, go to Guest Services immediately upon arrival (& board the ship as early as possible) to see if Princess tickets are still available. Princess meet & greets are all you'll need tickets for. The other Disney characters will have a ton of photo opportunities onboard (locations & times listed in the Daily Navigator), and you just show up for those (be early), first come, first served.

My experience was a 7 day cruise, but they did allow people to come in without tickets due to no-shows. Key is, don't go at the VERY begining of the event (no-shows haven't happened yet) and don't go in the second half of the event (lines get longer, or people with tickets show up late). But if you look to see when the event will happen and where, say 9:00-12:30 on a certain day and place, and if you go there at about 9:30 or 9:45, they may not have much of a line, and there may have been some no-shows, and if you are polite and ask nicely, they will say yes. That is a lot of ifs, but I definitely saw that happen when we were there with our tickets.
