Hello! We're just off the 7-night Western on the Fantasy and I thought I overheard some folks talking about a character breakfast. I don't remember seeing anything about that in years. Is it offered as a ticketed event now? I might have misunderstood but wanted to check with the experts!

Yes, it's a ticketed event. You pick up tickets once onboard.

A little history. Character breakfasts (with the regular characters) used to only be offered on the classic ships on sailings of 7 nights and longer that had at least 3 sea day (or 2 sea days and a late port arrival day). Back then, everyone was assigned to a specific breakfast seating, based on their dinner seating.

When the Fantasy joined the fleet, they tried doing the breakfast on her, but the dining room was too large, and the tables too close together (DCL's reasoning) to logistically manage the breakfast, and so it was discontinued.

Recently the Fantasy has been doing character breakfasts (Disney Jr characters). Tickets are distributed for breakfast first come first served. Depending on demand, there may be more than one breakfast set up.

Shmoo do you know which Disney Jr characters appear at it? My 2 year old would probably enjoy it, but I haven't looked into it yet.

Do they do them on the 4 day cruises? We sail Monday to the Bahamas on the Dream.

Are they a ticketed event on the Wonder, or is that still the way it used to be?
I believe all the ship (that have the Character Breakfast) do it as a ticketed event. The difference is (from what I've read) that the "normal" Disney characters are on the classic ships and the Disney Jr characters are on the Fantasy.
