Do they have Character Breakfast on the Wonder?

Do they have Character Breakfast on the Wonder?![]()
Pretty much. They have it on the Alaska cruises! They are usually on 7 and more night cruises with at least two sea days and a late port days or 3 sea days I believe.
Pretty much.
In the past the character breakfast was only on the classic ships (Magic & Wonder) on cruises of 7 nights and longer with at least 3 sea days, or 2 sea days and a late port arrival day. Everyone was assigned a specific day and time for their breakfast based on their dinner rotation. Generally most people would have their character breakfast on the first sea day following their first dinner in Animator's Palate. The characters in attendance would visit each table during the breakfast for photo ops. Usually they were Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale.
The Wonder is still doing the breakfast this way, with the breakfast on the 2 sea days and, I believe, Ketchikan day.
The Magic has changed their breakfast so that now it's a (free)ticketed event and you pick up the tickets at Guest Services. This way they can control how many people are there. The old method a lot of people weren't actually attending and there were many empty seats. And the characters are the Disney Jr. characters.
IMO, I think they were trying to get more families with younger children interested in participating in the breakfast. Attendance and the "traditional" event has been declining for a while.Disney Jr characters on Magic??? That's odd. I dont have kids so I dont know those characters at all. Why not stay with the classics?
Thanks for the info though. Didn't know it was not a free ticketed event either.
We've never had Shutter photographers at the Character Breakfast. If you wanted photos, we were told, we had to bring our own camera to be used by the character handler for photos. No Shutters photogs
The last CB we did was on The Magic in 2012, I felt it was very rushed and not that great. Our grandkids enjoyed it of course.
On our Alaska cruise in 2013 we skipped it.
The same amount of time is set up for each seating.Did you feel rushed because it was the early CB or does it matter whether it's the early or late breakfast regarding feeling rushed?
